Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Criterions, Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc.
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.

You can order it in-store with the coupon and they will ship it to your address for free. Alas, they won't apply the 10% member discount.

Oh yeah, I should have thought of that. I did that a long time ago. That even works out better for me because my closest store doesn't sell movies anymore, but I should still be able to order it there. Thanks

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

It's the only one I want during this sale. I thought about getting Eyes Without a Face and Slacker, but I think I'll just stick with the one big purchase. Now if I can get it with an additional 30-40% off...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I've never really done this before, am I understanding correctly that if I wait till tomorrow, I can use the non-member coupon code online to get 15% off the most expensive item (like that Zatoichi) box? Is that off the sale price or the regular price?

thanks

You can't use the coupon online for Criterions or pre-orders. If you want to use the coupon, you would have to place the order in-store. The coupon is off of the sale price.

Unfortunately there are coupon restrictions for both pre-orders and Criterion titles on sale on the web site. Won't be able to use a coupon for the Zatoichi box online. The only way around it is if you live near a store and do a store order or ship to home order with a coupon. Best coupons to use are the generic coupons like the ones that are on the first page since they seem to have less problems scanning a discount like the unique code variety. If you have a Mastercard the best option is to wait a week when a new 30% store coupon is coming out. No membership is required but you do need a Mastercard for it to be valid. Of course coupons are also a huge ymmv at stores, but the odds beat your chances online.

No, use the store code at B&N store to place an order because the online coupons are useless for the online Criterion sale. However if you can wait a week a printable 30% Mastercard store coupon is coming that could save you more money.

Brief summary of the current 15% coupon on the first page.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Next round of coupons coming tomorrow. If you're planning to use them at a store for the Criterion sale these might be a challenge since they are the unique code variety. I was able to use some last week but it was a hassle. I should have some extra coupons if anyone needs any.

Now, I don't get e-mail from B&N like I did in the past. I wish this chickensh*t company would get their act together. How hard is it to update your database of members?

Laser - I noticed the coupons in the OP are 6-digit generic codes this time. Is it possible to just plug them into the coupon template and print them out?

(Sorry if I'm asking something I shouldn't)

The coupons on the first page are always generic. I never bother putting unique codes there because it would probably create more confusion.

I'm not sure if it would work, or if the barcode would look normal. I found stores seem to willingly accept the store code number when I took a printout last week. The cashier never said a thing about it after he looked at it. I actually had more problems with the unique code coupons because they wouldn't scan. I can try plugging in the number to see if it looks like a normal coupon.

Received a unique code e-mail coupon this morning and it scanned in store with a 50% off Criterion without problem.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Folks in NYC: don't waste your time going to Union Square with the 20% and 15% coupons. They have the coupons posted at the register with the part saying "may not be combined with any other coupon or promotional discount" highlighted. Can't speak for other NYC stores but the guys at that store are particularly rude and nasty during these sales.
