It is either or, not both. However, I have discovered in the past that if you use it at one store, you can use it at another store the same day. Not sure if there is a specific time limitation, but it takes time for their system to update at the stores to know whether or not a coupon has been used already. But I would think the online server would get updated much quicker...

If anyone here is still a member be sure to check your snail mailbox for some Valentine's day coupons. Look for a red card with "Sweetheart Savings for John (your name of course)" on the cover. There are 4 coupons: one for Nook, one for Godiva chocolates, one for free $10 gift card when you buy $75 in gift cards, and one for 20% off any item. The Nook and gift card coupons are In Store only but the Godiva and 20% off are in-store or online. The Godiva coupon expires on Feb. 14th but the others are good through Feb. 28th.

Should see some new coupons this week and next. Looks like a new series of the usual 20% to 15% coupons coming January 31 through February 3, and February 7 through February 10.

This weeks coupons are already up. Again they are unique codes that require receiving emails from B&N.

When was the last time they released a coupon for more than 20% off? The reason I ask, is there is a CD box set I want that only makes sense with a 30% discount. Thanks.

They had a 25% off coupon around Black Friday, IIRC. It's been a while since their 15/20/30/50% off coupons. It would be nice if they did those again, even though it is very difficult to score a good one.

With the recent news of the impending closing of 30% of their stores, I dunno if we'll be seeing MORE coupons, or LESS. At this point, I'm glad I let my membership lapse last week.

There were also a few 30% off coupons during the holidays. I think the last round of 25% and 30% coupons were during the 40% blu-ray sale in December. Probably won't see anymore until this November. I expect the usual 15% and 20% coupons until then.

Also I don't know if there are going to be anymore surprise coupons in the future. It has been months since the last ones, and haven't seen any signs for any in the next few weeks. I really don't care since almost everytime they seem to have them there are restrictions for blu-ray and DVDs that are on sale.
