Still pisses me off to find a different "better" version the very next day. I did use a 25% off tonight to grab the Toy Story 3D only box set for 43.49 tax and all.

According to the blu-ray.com site, the US release of Dragon Tattoo are 25GB discs...but the UK release are 50GB discs. Is there really that big a difference between the two releases, or did someone at blu-ray.com get it wrong?

Additionally, the Extended trilogy is currently $29 delivered from the UK...but according to blu-ray.com the discs are region-locked - any verification of that (in lieu of the 25v50 above, I'm not sure blu-ray.com is a reliable source of info on this particular title)?

He used a 30% off coupon and he must have been a member too (got an additional 10% off).

$39.99 * 0.60 (40% off sale) = $23.99.
$23.99 * 0.90 (10% member discount) = $21.59.
$21.59 * 0.70 (30% off coupon) = $15.11.

Add sales tax . . .

I was the one that submitted the info to blu-ray.com. Yes the Dragon Tattoo extended discs are 50GB discs from the UK.

Darn, I wish mine had. I'm about to go to B&N to buy more stuff... I requested my card one day later though. I didn't know you had to do that. Seems silly that you have to claim it.

Got lucky and found a copy of A Room With A View Bd on the shelves. This is OoP and the price is creeping up. I found what is likely the same copy of it last year there, but didn't movie fast enough on it, and by the time a good coupon came around, the disc was nowhere to be found. I assumed they sent it back, but now for some reason it's magically reappeared. The case is cracked, but for $12 after tax, I won't be too anal about it.

You are killing me! I end up picked up last copy at my local BN store for $12.75 after taxes. I double checked BN website & still show my local store have more Instock!! Also, picked up Gettysburg / Gods and Generals under $30 shipped ;)

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I have a theory about the one-time use coupons being used in-store. I am betting that the coupons will work once AT EACH STORE. For instance, I used the first 30% off coupon posted Thursday night. Friday night I went back to that same store, and it didn't work. I also tried coupon #2 and it didn't work. This morning I went back to that same store with all 3 of the posted 30% off coupons, and none worked. I then went to a DIFFERENT store and was able to use two of them. The cashier positively punched in the code from the coupon (it didn't scan due to a poor printout). He meticulously read the code one character at a time, out loud, and they worked without issue.

So I'm thinking that each store will allow the coupon once. Therefore, the first person to use it at that store wins. Anyone else is SOL. That's the only valid scenario I can think of where sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Unless someone can state that it didn't work at a store, and then they went back later to that SAME store and got it to work. That's the only thing that could negate my theory (unless of course the cashier manually took 30% off).

Anyway, I got the Toy Story 3-D box set for $34, so I'm happy as hell. I wasn't planning on buying that since I had all 3 of them on BD already, but for roughly $11 a film, I said screw it and bought myself a Christmas present. Speaking of which, Happy Holidays everyone!!!

How the hell did you get it for so cheap? I used a 25% off coupon along with our membership and it still came out to 40 something dollars.

99.99 - 40% - 10% member - 30% coupon - $3.33 (portion of $5 off $50 coupon--bought another item, so the coupon was pro-rated between the two). $34.46 was the before tax price, but I paid with a B&N MC which saves 5%, so my final price after factoring in everything was $34.57. That's the first time I've used the 5 off 50 coupon all year. Usually I'm unsuccessful in using multiple coupons in the same purchase. I'm still amazed I was able to use two of the 30% off one-time use coupons in one purchase. After I saw I was getting away with that, I figured I'd go for it with the 5 off 50...

Of course, now that the sale is done, I can think of tons of BD's I wanted which I should have looked for. I can never think of them when I'm there... B&N may have the worst regular prices of any store, but with their sales and coupons, man they can be cheap...

Looks like the $8 blu-ray/DVD coupon will make it into the next year. I have not read the fine print closely and not sure if anything has changed.

Mine also arrived on Saturday, but I was away and unable to use it before the sale ended. Figures. I'll just use it on Deadly Spawn next month.

Yeah, I didn't get back to the store to use the gift card--too much going on, and they closed at 6:00p. Didn't get to use the in-store coupon, either. Bummer. Oh well, bring on the next sale!

Thanks for the heads up. It was mentioned here by someone that a clerk they talked to said it got extended.

Just wanted to make sure before I attempted to brave the Post-X-Mas crowds.

Doesn't seem to allow you to use coupons with this promotion. Did they not use to allow this? I sure hope they change their mind on it.

That's what I said about the 40% off sale, but most of the titles I was interested in weren't eligible. :(
