I'm tempted by The Films of Alejandro Jodorowsky box set which is on sale at B&N.com for 19.99. With coupons and cash back I can get it for even less. I just don't know how much replay these films will have.

Worked out to $36.37, which is a pretty good deal. Might go back later and try to use the Coupon on either Silver Nemesis or Revenge Of The Cybermen, since neither are 50% Off on the website.

I noticed that Robin Hood complete series was not included in the sale either (though the individual season were). It was not instock at any location that showed up when I entered my zip. That was something I really wanted.

If I had taken more time with this, I might have gotten some Poirot Acorn stuff, but it would have taken some time to see what were the best sets to get. Those damn sets overlap so much -- you have to really plan your purchases.

I did go back and get a copy of Spaced. I know I could have saved a few bucks buying it at Amazon UK (17.50 shipped), but it's easier to have a R! version. It does appears to be OOP though. Amazon doesn't have it listed, except for resellers. Anyone know?

Also, can you use the 20% coupon multiple times like the $5 off.

The 20% coupon in store will work multiple times but some clerks will not let you use it more than once. Or they will allow you to use it a few times and then say no more. I have used it 3 times and may go back to another store and try using it again.

I went back one last time today, to a different store, but the cashier was having difficulties so called a manager over. She was a nervous nellie and kept snapping at me every time I said something. First she said my membership must be expired. I said I had only recently joined, so she said "well, it probably isn't in our system yet." I told her I've used it each of the last two days, and she snapped "sir, I'm trying to help you!" Then she said I can't use coupons with my account. I told her I haven't had any issues before today, and she napped back with some other startling comment. I said "I'm not yelling, I'm very calm, could you calm down please?" She didn't seem to like that remark. Not only did she shut me down on using the $5 off $50 coupon, but she F'd up the entire check. My 20% coupon wasn't applied at all, my $5 coupon went to the expensive item I wanted for 20% off, and she took 10% off of the other item. To make matters even worse, she applied the membership discount AFTER the coupons, which I didn't even think was possible! I didn't notice any of this until I got to my car. I went back in and had her return two of the items, and repurchase them. I saved another $6, but I still lost $1 on the 3rd item which I didn't bother having her re-do. I know she wasn't trying to be rude, but she was very frantic. Even the other cashier was giving her the "you need to chill" eyes...

I'm debating now whether I want to use my 20% online coupon for the Benny Hill Megaset... I know Benny is funny as hell, but will I watch it with my gazillion title backlog? Probably not...

Grabbed some Blu-rays:

Wallander
Being Human S1
Monty Python Almost the Truth
Cranford

All in-store for $57. Cashier only allowed me to use 2 $5 off $20 coupons. I was able to stack the $5 off $50 total, though. She said after the Criterion sale she was told to only allow 2 $5 off $20 DVD coupons per purchase. She was money for me the past three Criterion sales so I'll have to plan for this when and if the next comes around.

Also grabbed a few others online using various coupons:

All Creatures Great and Small S1,2,6,7 DVD
Being Human S2 BD
Hamlet BD
Slings & Arrows BD

I wish that 15% Off In-Store Coupon had been available earlier in the week. I went tonight and used one on two different purchases, no problem. I probably could've gone in and done that each day during the sale. Oh well, still got a lot of great deals online. Spent way too much money though, between Black Friday, the Criterion Sale, and the UK Sale. Time to retire my wallet for a month or two.

You should use the Pick Me Up online feature. I couldn't find Being Human S2 in-store, and even had an employee look for it. Went home, saw it available on Pick Me Up at the SAME STORE, and sure enough they found it and it was waiting for me the next day. Same thing with a toy I wanted to use that $10 coupon on. Didn't see it anywhere in-store, did Pick Me Up, and they found it at that same store. Perhaps they keep stuff in back. I dunno...

I went a little crazy last night and bought 6 more Doctor Who titles. All would have been cheaper in-store with the membership discount, but I didn't have enough time to go back and try for more. Once I get my e bates cashback, it will be close enough.

Just added a couple of new store coupons that are valid from 12/16 to 12/19. There are supposed to be a few similar online coupons but they are not available yet to add to the list.

A statement at the bottom of the free 2-month trial offer has me puzzled:

"Skip the Free Membership and become a paid Member today!
Join Now and get $50 in bonus coupons".

I have been unable to figure out how the $50 is calculated. Does anyone have ideas? $5 off CD over $10, $5 off DVD over $20, $5 off $50 purchase, free Coffee, and so on adds up to MAYBE $30.

Here's how you should figure the $50 savings.

$5 off DVD coupon X 10 Criterions = $50

Actually I come up with $52.35 in so called savings when I add up all the online and store coupons with the offers listed. I doubt very many people would use every single coupon though. Here's the breakdown with how I come up with that amount.

$5 CD X 2 = $10
$5 DVD X 2 = $10
$5 Off $50 X 2 = $10
Complimentary Latte = $2.55 value
B1G1F Quamut chart $5.95 value X 2 = $11.90
B1G1F BN Classic $3.95 value X 2 = $7.90

Total = $52.35

B&N added a 25% code for all customers on the home page. Doesn't look like it is active yet. Enter code J3F7W7V at checkout to save on one item. Says it's valid for only one day.

And then some; however I don't think that they meant the offer to imply usage of the two sets of coupons that list different specific membership enrollment dates. Since the dates never overlap, theoretically, members should only use the set that covers their signup date.
I know that in practice anything goes, but I was trying to figure out their math. My personal savings have been phenomenal...so I'm not complaining in any manner.

That one doesn't seem to be valid, but they also sent me a unique 25% off one item to my email that works. So check your emails! And don't forget to select the free upgrade to express shipping on orders over $25.

The calculations I made were with the coupon on the first page during one enrollment period and the coupon used one time. Maybe you didn't realize there is both an online and printable store version of the coupons. They essentially have the same offers with the exception of the free latte offer available at B&N stores. The online coupon is valid for one purchase, but all the offers can stack on a single order. Basically just add up all the online offers and multiply by two to account for the store coupons, but add the free latte. That should give you the $50 in savings they claim. Here is the link to the online coupon with all the offers.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/email/...?r=1&PID=36126

I added a screen capture of how it would look in your cart with all the online offers. It shows how all the discounts would be applied to the order before it is submitted. I had to add a $17 book as filler to get the extra $5 off $50 coupon to apply.

I tested it with a member and non-member account this morning and the code is working. It should be a valid since it was posted on the B&N home page. Anyway I added a second 25% online coupon to the list that should also work for all customers today.

Damn you for bringing this to my attention!!!
I don't know if I can justify it since this book will obviously not be complete. Of course, there may never ever be a complete book since the show will go on forever, until one of the main voice actors dies...
