In 1998 or 99 or whenever it first came out 120 was a pretty damn good deal considering I'd never seen any of them in widescreen outside of the theatre, and it was 7 movies, it was less than $20 a DVD!

LOL - Yep, me too.
Think this was one of my first purchases way back when.

Ah, the memories... One of my first DVD purchases as well.
When it was first announced, I quickly reserved my VHS copy of the set at Suncoast Video... only to change my pre-order to DVD just days before the release because I had just bought this new machine...

This set was the driving force of me purchasing a DVD player in the first place (as well as I knew that the first season of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was on DVD in R2 and figured it would come out here soon enough).
I remember it was onsale at best buy about 6 months after it came out for $89.95 and it was my third DVD purchase ("End of Days" and "The World is Not Enough" was my first/second).
But for the time $90 was an amazing price for 8-discs.

Thanks for the heads up, Illini. I was holding out in hopes of an updated set with better features - especially after the new Platinum Series DVD of the first one was released. Still, I don't think I can pass at that price.
Snapper cases or no, this deal still works out to only slightly more then buying them on VHS from someone's yard sale.

Tempting for that bonus disc, but I already bought the R2 collection for $15 US a few years ago.
