It is definitely worth it. The remote lets you do more functions more easily that using the controller.

They only took $3.32 off of the remote instead of $5.00. I placed the order anyway and fired off an email to get $1.68 refunded.

I was looking forward to the Hi-Def deals today and was greatly disappointed (I picked up the Die Hard set on Monday). I hope for better deals tomorrow and the rest of the week. Maybe some more Blu-Ray sets or There Will Be Blood BD?

I bit on this one. I never bought another edition of Robocop after the Criterion, so it will be nice to finally have a nice anamorphic transfer of this movie on Blu-ray, especially for the price. Sucks that all the new extras weren't ported over, though.

Thanks, I was looking for something to couple with Robocop to get free shipping. This was it.

Yeah, I saw that. Not surprised. That show jumped a whole pool full of sharks years ago.

Before buying the Robocop BD, you might want to check out the DVD Talk review:

I have RoboCop. It doesn't have all the extras from the DVD and the PQ is only marginally better. I own the Criterion, the steelbook DVD and the Blu-ray. The Blu-ray is probably the most disappointing but only because the DVD is fantastic.

Wow, I had Amazon pricematch the copy of Robocop I bought back in December. Ironically, I had also bought Die Hard on that same order, and that went down in price by five bucks... which they also pricematched... I don't know how they honor some pricematches, and not others. Oh well

you must have gotten a generous CSR. they are only supposed to price match within 30 days of the original ship date.

Pretty bad combination, I'd say, since one person can't like all of those movies.
