Gary Cooper in MAN OF THE WEST $7.50 at WalMart
Was pleasantly surprised to see the MGM release of the Gary Cooper/Anthony Mann classic MAN OF THE WEST for $7.50 at WalMart. This is a new release and this price beats any of the online e-tailers. It was not in the New Release section, but in the rack with the other $7.50 DVDs.

I didnt see any of the titles mentioned here or the 2-packs.
They did have a WB Richard Harris Double Feature for 7.50 The Deadly Trackers and Man in the Wilderness that I bought. It says first time Widescreen for each title.

The two-packs were at both of the Super Wal-Marts near me. They have a blue cover that says "My Dad Rocks It Like...A Cowboy." They were on an endcap. They had about four or five of each set. Each of the titles is in its own individual keepcase. Paul1957 really deserves the credit. He brought these sets to my attention in another thread. There were probably 20 different two-packs and multipacks.

I have to say though, I'm puzzled by some of the title selections. One selection called "My Dad Rocks Like an Athlete" contains the 2 disc version of RAGING BULL, which strikes me as a weird Father's Day present. I can just see some thinking: "My dad really liked the Rocky movies and this one's about a boxer and, hey, it's got the guy from MEET THE PARENTS. This will be a great gift!" So on Father's Day evening, the whoel family sits down to watch it. Pandemonium ensues....

That's right, I found them.
Not only the Gary Cooper pair (Man of the West and The Westerner), but I found the Robert Mitchum pair (Man With the Gun and The Way West)!
(OK, my wife found them - but I've got them sitting on my desk right now as I type this.)
This really is a YMMV situation. Only 1 out of the 5 Wal Marts that we checked had them.

I have not found these in two stores I checked in the Knoxville, TN, area. Did buy Man of the West for $7.50 today, but will save my receipt and keep it unopened while I continue searching. I did spot a two-title set of Shane and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance for $9.00, but I've owned those two for a long time.
