They have particularly good prices on the Rightstuf sets. I'll definitely be picking up the Ninja Nonsense, Boys Be and Shingu thinpaks during this sale.

I have been wanting Ninja Nonsense ever since I found out about the anime many, many moons ago. Was there ever a thin-pack for it? Is the one available on Deepdiscount the "regular/premium" edition? (Note: I always prefer the "premium" regular collections such as that put out usually by Geneon).

There hasn't been a thinpak release for this. That is unless you thinpak DVDs yourself.

DD's packaging can be pretty bad so your experience may vary. Customer service is okay only if you call them. Their email customer service is very lousy. S/H time varies as well. It takes about 3 days for me with the free S/H while I have heard that it takes weeks for others.

Should there be a fair warning that animephiles should save a couple of hundred dollars for a possible studio sale from TRSI (you know, 10/50 or 25/100)?
I remember around the summer last year it took the dvd boards all over by internet by storm. It might just repeat again, no?

DONT SPEND EVERYTHING ON DD. (except complete collections)

I wouldn't bank on another 10/50 and/or 25/100 TRSI abundance sale any time soon. It will be nice, but it may never occur again. I wouldn't tell someone to wait for a sale that may or may not happen. Besides these type of abundance sale usually involve older catalog titles.

I have found that to be the case, too. I would do a little comparative shopping, and you could save a little bit more.

I didn't read through this whole thread, but I thought I'd mention that Barefoot Gen Vol 1 + 2 appears to still be available for $26.98 through TRSI, I just ordered it last week. It is out of print and impossible to find anywhere for less than $35

*edit* Huge price jump since last week!

That is because this particular title was one TRSI's Weekly Specials for $17.99. Their Weekly Specials ends on early Thursday morning. Certain products goes on for more than one week while others only last one week.

Just a heads up, they expect you to pay 2x the shipping price if you order a Vol X w/ box and only pay for S&H on one disc. If you pay with paypal, they cant charge you, they can only request a charge. If you deny the charge and tell them to either ship it or cancel the order, they will say that they will ship it "this time" (they've done it for me about 4 times). If you pay by credit card, they will make an additional charge without letting you know. Pretty shady from the people who sold complete series boxsets for $9 shipped via DHL 3 day.
