What are the cheapest prices on The Wire (2-5)

I've seen and owned the first season for awhile but I'd really rather not pay $40-50 for each of the other seasons.

Help?

I've been keeping an eye out for the past few months, and there have been no real "deals" on The Wire. The best prices have been in the $30 per season range, which isn't bad, but isn't a steal. Barnes & Noble would likely be the best option, when a season is priced around $40-$45 for members, and you can use one of the 25% off coupons, it brings it down to be pretty reasonable. Not much else unfortunately, but these seasons generally go on sale at Best Buy once or twice a year.

I'd be willing to bet that HBO will release a Series set (in the vein of S&TC and Six Feet Under). If you've waited this long (as I have), you'd probably be best holding out for the Wire Mega-Box.

Best buy had a 50% off all HBO 3-6 months ago. That was still a bit expensive as I believe they were still over $30 a set. Ive been watching the prices on these sets for like 2 years now. If they drop the price to the low 20s for this series and the Sopranos I may finally jump at em.

I was able to get all 4 seasons for $25 each at Circuit City and Best Buy (Dallas area). All from viewing this website. This was about 6 to 9 months ago though. You have got to keep an eye out though and check this site at least twice a week. The $25 dollar sets were like an unadvertised sale that someone posted about that seemed to go unnoticed because there were few responses to that thread. Good hunting!

I too got the 25 per seson from BB, however I had ordered them in early November and was told it was on backorder. I was also advised that I could go to the local store and pick it up. The store refused to honor the price. I went back to the phone and was told that this was a special boxed set, not just the four seasons and would have to wait. After monthly calls and/or emails and several required "Tell us if you still want this or we will cancel" I finally received the four seasons (individual seasons held together with Scotch Tape) in April. This was the last time I am going to deal with BB.

I've seen them for $22 each or so (for seasons 1-3, at least) at Costco... that was last summer, though.

I'm nowhere near a Costco, so that doesn't work for me.

They're on sale at Amazon.ca right now.

With shipping, season 4 is right under $40 from amazon.ca. Not a stellar deal, but I went ahead and ordered. I grabbed seasons 1-3 for $19.99 from Best Buy, back during the Christmas season.

You'd need a time machine, too.

I'd just buy them in bulk while I was at Costco.
