DIGIVIEW makes most of them, but their site does not list them.

BTW, email a mod and have them change your name to the correct spelling.

Don't forget the presence of out of print Criterions. Totally saw Straw Dogs in there with Robocop yesterday.

Yeah, I picked up a couple copies of Hard Boiled and Notorious while the masses were fighting over Season 3 of The Beverly Hillbillies...saw 3 or 4 copies of Salo, too.

Dollar bin isn't all bad. My friend picked me up a Lee Van Cleef double feature from there.

Does Salo have a bug on the corner of the screen like it does in the Mill Creek art film 50 movie pack?

yes, but since it's walmart, it's an actual bug.

In the one dollar digiviews at walmart is "last man on earth", a 1964 movie starring vincent price that is very good post-apocolypse movie, which has been re-made twice so far, in the early 70's as "the omega man" starring Charleton Heston, and most recently as "I Am Legend" starring Will Smith. Also, if you can find it, the original "House on Haunted Hill" starring Vincent
Price is a real classic, directed by William Castle, a brilliant horror director from the early 60's. Vincent Price was a horror actor barr-none who will allways be missed by true horror fans like myself.

Actually, The Last Man On Earth, is the best, (and most true to the novel), film version of Matheson's, I Am Legend. I love Vincent Price but he was miscast as Nevill (renamed Morgan for some strange reason in this version). If they could have gotten Charlton Heston and a little bigger budget it could have been a classic.

You seriously settled for a $1, unmastered, crap version of NOTLD when you can buy a pretty good one (with Mike Nelson's commentary, no less AND optional colorization) from 20th Century Fox for only a few bucks more? I drop my jaw to you sir!

OP, I think the reason no one has mentioned those films is because they're usually public domain films that are horribly unmastered and typically unwatchable. There may be an exception, but 99 out of 100 times it's best just to shell out a few extra greenbacks for a professionally remastered version.

you are very right, if you really like a film you are much better off spending a bit more if it means getting the best possible copy of it, but I have gotten some cheap public domain dvds that were very watchable, case in point, Sonny Chiba's "street fighter" movies, which are classic 70's martial arts films.

I bought Bucket of Blood many moons ago in the $1 bin and I swear that the print looked so good that I assumed that their source was the MGM DVD . However, caveat emptor as it's a crap shoot with these discs, though a buck ain't too much of a loss.
