Best Buy $9.99 2 (or 3) disk Special Editions this week

I know there was no ad, but these are all $9.99 online and in-store this week and I have not seen it mentioned:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....&type=category

There are some in-store that don't seem to be on the list. Once Upon a Time in America is not listed.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....&cp=1&id=23661

Also the 2-disk of Snatch.

Rocky 2 disc collector edition is $9.99 at Amazon, thought it was a price match but it's still $14.99 on Best buy

Thanks. I think I'll pick up Goodfellas, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, and Das Boot (Das Boot is around $30 elsewhere.)

I've never seen Once Upon a Time in America. Almost thought of blind-buying that one and Labyrinth. Is Das Boot good?

I did get Life of Brian. Decided to upgrade my Criterion.

Most of the other good ones I already own. Wish I had waited on Holy Grail.

Double dipped on Taxi Driver, Das Boot, and Black Hawk Down. Picked up Lawrence of Arabia as well. Only way this deal could have been better is if it was the buy 1 get 1 free on top of that. (Remember that mistake from about a year ago?)

once upon a time in america is almost 4 hours long. Yeah that has alot of replay value, ok. If it was a 4-hour unrated movie about my life starring me as myself and co-starring a young jenna jameson as my love interest I still dont think Id watch it.

I'm thinking of double-dipping on "The Life of Brian" (I have the really lame, old, non-Criterion release) and "Taxi Driver".

And possibly getting "Once Upon a Time in America" and "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner".

I got Das Boot since it was the 5hr uncut miniseries version. The regular price is $36 so I think someone screwed up at Best Buy.

I've never seen it, put Petersen originally filmed the show as a German Miniseries. The cut down version was for theatrical release.

It says on the cover its '2 more hours of movie' but compared to the runtime of the current Directors Cut DVD, it's actually only about 90-93mins.

It's still 4hrs and 53mins long.

Id actually like to read a comparisson of the two to see how a 2hr movie can stand up to a miniseries.I mean are the cuts too much or is it even noticable in the movie?

I dug around when I was debating purchasing the miniseries a while ago.
For this price I got it anyway, but the review I found said:
"watch the director's cut, if you like that, watch the miniseries for some extra fleshing out."

AC-3 = Dolby Digital. Comes from the days of laserdiscs. They used to have cool intros, e.g. helicopter swooping into a city, "Indiana Jones" type scene, to show off the sonics.

BB has screwed the pooch on BOGO more than once

a little over a year ago Warner special editions rang up for $9.99 each and B1G1F. you don't forget something like that

they have done this again, since then - with different titles

that warner glitch though, was godhead.

my collection grew significantly

it's also why these 9.99 sales don't matter much to me. i already own all the good ones and got them for $5 each.
