Anything else either DVD related or otherwise?

Yeah, there's a crazy huge chocolate layer cake with chocolate shavings on the side that's so rich, it will short out your nerve endings. And that's coming from a total chocoholic.

Check the last page of posts on this thread for the current DVD bargains.
Costco has great prices on box sets from Warners and Fox, usually ones that have been out for over a year. Most Costcos seem to have recently set up a second DVD section near the checkout counter with bargain DVDs such as $8.99 Warner 2 disc sets and Fox TV season sets for $19.99 after instant rebate.

Don't forget the $1.50 quarter pound hot dogs with free soda and free refills at the food court.
Best food bargain at Costco.

They're currently in line with other store but there are bargains to be found if you look (and sometimes dig)

I think they're a few bucks cheaper then other stores like Best Buy (say 26.99 versus 29.99) but obviously not as good as ordering online off Amazon or something.

Mine did that a couple weeks ago. Then this week, that section was gone and those DVDs were merged back in with the others in the regular section.

Quick question - The Wire - I noticed that Seasons One and Two have non-foil cover variants. Were foil covers ever released for the other seasons? It looks as if the packaging was slightly changed (cheaper) for Seasons Four and Five...

Different Costcos have different prices, but mine had the Ford collections at $32.99, and the first set you list of Bob Hope, et al at $15.99.

grivet 08-27-08 10:28 PM

Thanks for the correction. The Ford at Fox sets were right next to the $27.99 and $32.99 Warner titles and I had a hazy recollection that it was close to one of those price tiers. I've updated my post.

Picked it up from the Turlock, CA store for $15.99 - 7 features + a biographical film. Includes Witchfinder General which I had considered paying the full $15 for when it came out a year ago - now I got it for $2

I've been a member about 4 or 5 months and still haven't got a single coupon. I have been getting the magazine though. What do you have to do to get the coupons?

You can usually get the coupons and Passport books at the Customer Service desk.

Bigsierra 08-30-08 03:46 PM

Thanks. I will check it out.

Thanks for the heads-up. I bought it today, & wouldn't have known to look if not for this post. It was buried in w/a bunch of other stuff, & I woulda never seen it.

Goldberg74 08-30-08 05:37 PM

I posted this over in the HD forum, but when I bought the Blu-Ray versions of Hannah Montana 3D Concert and Camp Rock it took $10 off each title. Which makes them $14.19 each ($24.19 - $10.00 = $14.19).

You don't need to buy both and you don't need the coupon on the Camp Rock packaging either.

YMMV

This was at the Costco on 281 & 1604.

I don't think it's a YMMV. It was clearly posted at my Costco (Nashua, NH).

The Iwilei Costco now has a display case with Blu-Rays as if it's jewelry or something. Just one copy each of about 8 titles displayed inside. I didn't see ANY Blu-Rays actually out for you to grab.

Let them know. They will make sure you get on the list.
