Compared to the jackals at SlickDeals, this is Mother Teresa treatment. I posted a so-so deal and even said as much in my post and you'd think I'd dump a truckload of dead baby seals on their lawns. Instead of just ignoring it, they went berserk and got quite insulting.

What's so harsh about pointing out something's been posted before? Or are we arguing over the specific words used to convey that message?

Anytime you say "Welcome to ____ days/weeks/years ago" then it is normal for people to take that with a hint of ass attached to it. I'm not sure if Gizmo really intended this so I can't really say.

I think just posting a link to the previous post would suffice without commentary.

Don't worry Gizmo. TallMeGuy did the same shit to me a couple of weeks ago when I told a new member that his bargain was already posted. Just ignore him and he'll go back to just complain about DD.

I guess I shouldn't start a new thread that Best Buy has all HD DVDs at 30% off, right?

The fact is, this news is WEEKS old.

Why not just IGNORE the flippin' duplicate thread, it will soon fall of the front page and be gone forever, instead of trying to make up some smarmy comeback that makes the OP feel like shit for just trying to be helpful.

It's too easy to be mean to each other on the web when all you see are words. There are people who type those words. Tired of that and also seeing typed curses for no reason at all.
