I am hoping for b1get1, theres alot of movies I want to pick up.

I think thedigitalbits.com mentioned last week that Universal HD DVDs would see an MSRP reduction today. So this is no doubt a reflection of that, and other retailers should show similar reductions soon.

if they run a buy 1 get 1 free on these titles in a couple weeks or so will they price match a purchase made today to that. Would I be able to get credit for the free HD DVD?

If they do B1G1F with these prices, I'll buy practically every one of these titles... especially the 11.95 ones.

I was ordering some of them and the prices were changing every time I went to my cart. Crazy.

But, perhaps Amazon did this wrong -- as this is an MSRP reduction, not a sale price. We may see these prices back when they change the MSRP.

What are the chances of these prices dropping even more?

I mean. I want to get a good deal, but I don't want to wait too long to where they stop producing them and I get screwed.

Amazon will definitely give you a price adjustment if the price drops lower in the 30 days after you receive them. They have been known to give refunds on orders that are over 2 months old(I just got a price adjustment today for an order that I placed in late December).

Be careful, I've never had them match a B1G1 offer but if you bought the B1G1 offer they would refund if the price subsequently dropped.

Really? I'm just outside the 30 day window on something I bought - but I'll request a price adjustment anyway to see if I get it.

I think it's the luck of the draw. I've been rejected for a price match that was only slightly outsdie the 30-day window. But I was able to get in on it today while the prices were still low and got $12 back.

i understand that mentality (and suffer from it myself sometimes), but i think it's flawed. just ask yourself if the current prices represent a reasonable value to you for those discs. if it's a good value, buy them. even if a better price is available later, you can rest in the knowledge that you bought them at a value price.

I would focus on the titles you really want right now, and go ahead and buy them if the current price seems reasonable. If they run out of something you really wanted, knowing that there will never be any more, you'll kick yourself. If prices continue to drop, you could "lower your standards" per se and pick up a few "borderline" titles at an even deeper discount. Eventually, you'll run out of interest, or they'll run out of titles, but at least you'll have what you wanted.

I've got a wishlist. I've ranked it by how badly I want them. I've set a "buy" price for each... the lower down the list, the lower the "buy" price. I'm watching Amazon and DD and others, and when a title dips below my threshhold, I take it. I've already got ~70 HD-DVD titles (either in hand or on order), so I've pretty much got everything I *need*. Now I'm going for things I *want*, then I'll go for things I'm *interested in*, then finally it'll be down to things I have a *vague* curiousity about. Like Galaxina.

I doubt it. It's not like that would ever happen. If we are lucky, some of the titles sent back will show up at Big Lots for around $5 each.

As it stands right now a B1G1 would be awesome for Amazon to do. I'd order a few that I've really wanted if they did that.

Would like to see Paramount follow suit, caused I'd love to get the first season of Star Trek TOS at a decent price...

The few I checked - mostly for pricematch purposes - were back up to $14.95 (out of sight, pride & prejudice).
