Gosh. I never really thought about it that way.

Speedy, for the sanctity of marriage in this great nation, please lose those friggin' laptops!! Thank you.

Thanks for the prices Speedy. I cannot urge enough people to get Into the Wild. Definitely my favorite movie of last year. Does anyone know if that 12 Angry Men dvd is a 2-disc affair or not? I don't mind double dipping too much if it 's a huge upgrade. Thanks again.

So BBy will probably have it for...$14.99.

ETA: At least that's the website pre-order price, but I guessed before I looked.

$4.99 for Maverick. I think its time to pick that up. Knowing my luck, I will get it and WB will announce a 15th anniversary is on the horizon.

I personally think that HDTV's fall under the realm of what shoudl be posted in these threads. As far as people asking about laptop pricing and such, I dont really have a problem with it. if Speedy chooses to answer them, thats up to him. But I think that HDTV's fit in nicely here and should be included each week. just my opinion, of course. I am grateful for whatever Speedy chooses to include each week.

Same here. Held off hoping for a new release but this may be the time to get it. Then the doubledip comes...

no keep it to dvd/cd/video games.

i think the main idea when speedy started this was to provide early prices for these discs ahead of release date so that if people had preordered online, they would have time to cancel the order prior to shipping if the B&M prices were better. also for different goodies at different stores OR if there were coupons available.

None of these benefits really apply to the bigger box items like computers and TVs. Finding out these prices early really doesn't SAVE you any money (which is the idea of this particular forum).

Not to mention that Speedy has a life and fielding questions all week was not likely what he had in mind when he started this. He has done WAY, WAY, WAY more than his fair share for this forum !!!!!!!

Does anyone have the specs on that Dell laptop for 699.

I am going with a purchase and if that laptop is the model that is priced at 799 currently on Best Buys website, I will wait til this sale happens on the second to make the purchase.

Has anyone here seen Havoc? Is it worth a $4.99 blind buy? Heard you see Anne Hathaway's boobs.

Anyone every buy these packaged deals with TVs and such? The Samsung one looks great...but I don't need the Geek Squad coming out and hooking anything up for me. That "$200 Price" can I just take that off the actual price or will they charge that to me anyway?

If you're asking if Anne Hathaway's boobs are worth $4.99 then the answer is 'no'. They're nice, but not worth $4.99. Just do a google search and you can enjoy them for free.

It's a so so film that I got on the cheap.

This DVDTalk review sums it up nicely for me:
