When Target has the Wii listed in their ad, they stockpile them for a good week or two. They will deny this up and down and probably tell you they might get a shipment on Sunday, if they even tell you that much. Mark my words, they DO NOT get a shipment on Saturday night/Sunday morning--they just hold the Wiis until Sunday morning because they are listed in the ad.
Depending on how big of a city you live in and how many Targets are in the area you might have to wait in line a little while to get a Wii at this point. Some Targets will hand out tickets prior to opening the doors and the ticket will guarantee you a Wii.
The last time Target had Wiis in their ad it was before Christmas and they handed out tickets 1 hour prior to opening. Obviously demand was at it's peak around Christmas and should be much smaller next weekend.
Last week when Toys R Us had the Wii listed in their ad you could walk up to my local store (midwest city of about 70k people) right at opening and get one.
I plan on getting to Target around 7:30am next weekend. Good luck in your search!

Speedy if you have a website where you accept donations because of the information you give out, please let me know as I probably should give you a little something.

Well, at my store we usually get around 10-15 boxes of Wii's (2 per box) on Thursday night before the ad, not during the whole week. They tell us not to stock any due to the demand when it is in the ad, since they are rarely in it. It has been in the ad at least twice since Xmas, so it must be depending on the region you're in (I'm in San Diego). On one hand, I don't think it's right to not stock them right away, but on the other hand...there won't be any for people on Sunday when they see the ad.

Anyone know what Target's policy is on waiting out front? Hell or high storm I have to get one Sunday, I'm just debating what time I should "camp out" early Sunday morning... I'd prefer to be in the cold as least as possible

Not sure what their policy is but we went by our local store today and keyed the code into one of the scanners. It showed no inventory so we found a manager and asked. He confirmed they did have some Wii's in stock but could not tell us how many. He suggested we arrive early and he would be handing out numbers on his business cards for those waiting. He said they would not be entered into inventory until after store closed today.

anyone know for sure if Target will have "Justice League: New Frontier" 2-discer at $16.99 (website price at Target and Amazon.com)? it isn't listed in the ad and usually my Target at least only has what is listed in their ads, but i am hoping this is just a mistake, i mean why would they have the 1 and not the 2?

I foolishly skimmed over the Ratatouille w/ slipcover for 10 bucks in your posting Speedy. You should have put that one in red bold ink. : ). Anyways I was at Target this morning and they had two cases of them on the DVD shelves facing the Cash Registers and I thought it was a typo at first. Wow, what a deal. I jumped on it and rushed back here to post, only to find out it was old news.
I'll read your posts a little slower next time Speedy. My kids thank you.
