Thanks dude...Some good stuff on here.
2-disk Osterman Weekend + The Stunt man for less than ten bucks each....Too bad I didn't already have them. Still, i will probably pick up some of the $6 titles like Dirty Mary Crazy Larry

I was hoping that 29th Street, Date with an Angel, Mischief, Project X, The Stone Boy, and To the Devil a Daughter would be amongst the B2G1 titles.

^I recall that too but can't find a thread about it...

The great deals last year got me spoiled... The deals this year seem to be getting worse in comparison.

I believe the B1G1 for Anchor Bay was on TV titles, not movies. I ordered the first two seasons of Roseanne from that sale.

A warning, though, that Vanishing Point is the remake, not the '70s original.

sworn off DD. no more business with that shady operation. please look at resellerratings of late and decide if its worth it. you'll also find my post about still waiting on orders from Nov 18th of 2007, that were defective in shipment. terrible, lousy customer service - they have no clue about how to do things. as long as your order comes right the first time, you are good. something goes wrong in the sequence and you are on your own. stop giving these guys your business until they turn things around. this is NOT the same old good setup that DDD was.

But they've got some great sales! Including this one! Woo!

(I've personally never had any problem with their customer service. In fact, any problems I've had with orders were fixed very quickly and they took care of everything. All I had to do was drop it in the mail.)

I love DD's synopsis for The Entity: "A woman is sexually assaulted by an amorphous blob. Nobody believes her until scientists capture and freeze it. Based on a true story -- hmmm."

In spite of the goofy synopsis, The Entity is really a pretty effective ghost story. Some surprisingly creepy sequences - I highly recommend it.

Just wanted a few suggestions:

I placed a couple of 6.06 orders and was looking for a third (or maybe a 2nd and third) for a 9.10 order

I know I want the Osterman Weekend and am probably going to get the Day the Earth Caught Fire (seems decent and got pretty high score on IMDB ... any input would be appreciated)

For a third I'm looking at
Are You Being Served? - The Movie
The Stunt Man (from another's post)
Erik the Conqueror (love the big-budget specataculars, but think this might be cheesy??)
Norliss Tapes -- vampire move ..

Many is the time I've found a good move thru other DVDTalkers, so TIA!

I'd highlight The Ladykillers to research further to see if it might interest you.

I'll second the original The Ladykillers, a superb British comedy featuring Alec Guinness in his prime. (it has an 8.0/10 rating at IMDB.com)

And I'll also recommend The Dam Busters, a thrilling WWII-based movie in the vein of movies like The Great Escape and The Guns of Navarone (it has a 7.4/10 rating at IMDB.com). It is also well known as the British movie on in the background of some scenes in Pink Floyd - The Wall, but is not considered "P.C." by our current society for the mere fact of having scenes with a dog named a certain now forbidden word that begins with the letter "N" (which is probably why this movie never shows up on TV here in the U.S.).
