Yeah, a big YMMV. The manager at my local store said that the 10% for trade-ins was being phased out chain wide. Of course that could just be a story, but it's what made me decide not to get it, and I told him that.

Yes, if you buy enough from them to recover the minimal $25 that you spent on the the membership.

The BS Pass is $25 per year, the extra 10% for trade-ins is a big YMMV and you do get 20% off on your birthday. You can also use it online(however, the 20% birthday discount won't work online). My local FYE also has a deal where they will give you 20% off right on the spot if you sign up(basically giving you your birthday discount right away). It has definitely been worth it for me with their anime promotions. I just use $25 of store credit from my trade-ins to pay for the membership. Be aware that game systems, MP3 players and a few other things are excluded from any discount. Here is a link to more info-

http://www.fye.com/Backstage-Pass_st...0VVviewcat.htm .

I was actually considering getting a BS pass, but since the one and only FYE I still go to is shutting down (along with the one Suncoast I still go to), it doesn't seem like I'll be getting a return on my investment.

at least until thursday you get 20% off when you sign up for a backstage pass, so the breakeven investment point is $125 annually.

The only reason I got a backstage pass was because when they had one of their big anime sales when stuff was like, 60% off on clearance, I bought $125 worth of stuff. So I shelled out another $25 for the card since I would save $12 right there. But $25 is a lot for a 10% discount card IMO.

But it gets you 10% off of everything other than consoles & non-zune mp3 players. Places like Gamestop & EB charge $15, but it only works on USED items. Considering you can get up to $11.60 credit for $4 right now, it also means that at that rate, it would only cost you $90 to break even; rather than $250.

For people with an Xbox 360, you can download the first eps of Witchblade for free. Not sure when the offer will expire though. Not the greatest show, but it's free.

I dunno about that. I've been refreshing a rather lengthy list of my "would like to have" links, and they are still not in stock. Unless you want Jungle Juice on DVD, the good stuff is gone.

well there was a re-stock a lot earlier on this afternoon...since the users on Anime on DVD forums have NOTHING ELSE BETTER TO DO than sit at their computer and refresh each and every products page for this sale...i'd say there's not much of a chance of getting what you want DVD Polizei

Awesome, nice find! I've been wanting those Wolf's Rain sets forever, $32 for both isn't too shabby! Too bad it's from Buy.com, I don't normally order from them anymore but for the price I guess I'll make an exception.

Have fun with Buy.com. I wasn't too impressed with Buy.com's packing system - they shipped me Nadia tin box in a near open package which Nadia could fall out of the box if the carrier is careless. Or someone can steal it right out of package.

I think I asked this before, but what are the odd's that Geneon will complete the series it has in mid stride once (if) it gets its act together?

I already ahve the first three Hellsing's, and I'm assumign that will get completed by somebody. But what about some other titles like Karin, Rozen Maiden, and When They Cry?

Luckily Geneon seemed to have finished most of their last series I was interested in.

I think all I have left that I need to get is...

Ergo Proxy
Fate/Stay Night
Strawberry Marshmallow
Kamichu
Zipang
Paradise Kiss.

Just finished Black Lagoon the other day.

I could peg off a lot of these with the FYE sale, but I just don't have the scratch now for it. I hope to finish another series at the end of this month and then round out the rest before May.

I wish RS had a Geneon sale but it probably doesn't make sense economically since they're in demand.

Also, anyoen have a guess when the FYE sale will end?

Too bad we won't be able to see Black Lagoon 2nd season, unless other studio "rescue" it.
