And your editing of that original post makes it more pointless still.
The argument of why you came into this thread in the FIRST place is still valid regardless of the pointlessness issue. Essentially you've sort of made a case that you vaguely wanted to threadcrap... how else could you explain your post?

So even though it was not directly said, you assumed he meant exactly what you thought yet somehow I was thread crapping. Okay.
As far as thread crapping, I did no such thing. Had I said, that shows sucks, then I would agree.
But, since some didn't care for me saying what little I did say, I'll remove the post. And for those confused..

Anyway, I know this whole subject is off-topic and should really be part of the main forum--there probably is a thread already. But for 40 bucks, damn good price. Even though my S1 and S2 are on SD, so be it. At least they're widescreen...

Hm.. I think this is a sign, I ordered a PS3 last week, and its coming today, and this is the goldbox deal today. Only own season 1 so far, and only caught a bit of it, but I know I'll love it so I'm in for one

just watch season's 1 and 2 upconverted from the standard edition's and then watch Season 3 on BD Hi Def. Those prices for season 1 and 2 have got to be wrong. They want to make money don't they? Look how many of these S3 they will sell now that they are $40. They are still making money at the $40 price and picking up more people that will potentiallly watch the show season 4 on up on TV. Then they can charge more for advertising. Disney knows how to make money. The prices will not be that high if Disney is smart. I have a feeling that they will change the price on the older season's when they are finally made. For now just try to rent and watch it upconverted from your player. At least so you can know what's going on in the story.

That being said, I have broken two of my rules: no more seasons of Lost and no more blu-ray TV seasons to pick this one up for $40. Sure, still having a couple of hundred left in store credit helped the decision. I probably never would have paid $40 cash. Also, getting a chance to rewatch the end of last season before the start of this season was really tempting.

I just found the engadget article talking about the possibility of Lost season 1 on Blu Ray at $20 per disk (over $200 for the whole season). Please keep in mind that the article is dated Oct. 24th 2006 just after season 2 was completely aired on regular Television. Season 3 was just starting on it's 3rd episode on TV the week this article came out. Blue Ray players had barely been out a week when this was written. I am sure we can all agree that this is old news and the season's will obviously be cheaper when they finally arrive. We are just in a transitional period right now. Spread the word about Blu Ray. Convince your friends to buy in and they will make stuff we want faster (...and hopefully cheaper).

They also have a "brown bag" promotion right now that would net you an extra 20%. So, the store credit would be worth $21.75.

Hmmm. I liked S1 but thought S2 was...retarded. Is S3 better? Don't have a Bru-lay player yet, though.
