Emma Peel Avengers Megaset $40 at aetv.com

Today and tomorrow, everything in the A&E on-line store is 20% more off, which means that, for example, this set, which was selling for half-price, or $50, now becomes $40 for 17 discs.

I haven't checked out their shipping charges, but I see that their three-disc Shackleton set is $11.99 before the 20% off and am contemplating picking this one up.

Doing a quick search the only way to get Free Shipping I've found is to use a MasterCard. But, you have to have a purchase of $100 or more.

Thanks OP! This is a terrific price. I picked up the Emma Peel Megaset. With the discount, the item price was $39.98. Shipping was only $3.95 -- no big deal considering this is a 17-disc set! Total charges came out to be $43.93. Awesome deal! Thanks again, I never would have known about it if you hadn't posted it here.
Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to find the time to watch all of these episodes once they arrive.

Thanks, OP. Just out of curiosity, I waddled over to B&N to see what they were selling this for. Got it for $38.97 with 3-Day delivery via Barnes & Noble. Used the one-time use 25% off coupon in the B&N thread (for the lazy: U8N8F7X). You MUST be a member to get this price. And the $5 difference may not be worth it if you don't shop at B&N that much ($25 annual member fee).

But thank-you for posting the deal. I would have never thought about it.

I've been an Avengers fan for 40 years. This set is worth it's weight in gold.

A quick check of several of the DVD price search sites shows the bonus disc in this set selling for around $20 separately, so this complete collection is an absolute steal at $40, one of the best deals ever that I can recall from the A&E Store.

Mrs. Peel brought the hot.

And yes, $40 is a slam-dunk for this set. ($46.33 w/tax + s/h for me in IN, which is a few bucks more than going via BN.com after the U8N8F7X coupon.)

I can also recommend the 8-DVD Horatio Hornblower set. $44.97 - 20% = $36 =

Thanks to the OP for bringing this to our attention!

I decided to go the Barnes & Noble way as well since I have their MC. Mine was $1.xx more than DVD Polizei's total (must be the tax?).

I bought the megaset originally for my sister's gift but it was too costly to also get myself one back then. Kind of glad I waited as I guess it's in slimpacks now (plus the bonus disc) and I lack space.

The Emma Peel Megaset is no longer available on aetv.com. It is still available at Barnes & Noble, and there are 2 other 25% member coupons available-F3T6K4L and L4F9Y7U, in addition to the one posted above.

The Emma Megaset is a great price, but I was even happier getting the Cathy Gale and Linda Thorson's at $8 a set (except one Gale which was $12). I've been disappointed they've never done a megaset for Thorson...or a Megaset for the entire original series (in slimpacks!).

You can pick up all 5 Benny Hill sets for about $84 shipped. The FatWallet 9% would drop that down to something like $76. Not bad.

I can't get this complete box set to come up with any searches at aetv.com. Does anyone have a direct link?

I couldn't get find it on the site anymore either, but as someone said above, if you call the phone number and tell them the name of the item or the tiem number (which I think is AH74582), they will let you order it over the phone with the additional 20% off like online. The confirmation e-mail will just say it is backordered and and expected to ship on 01/11/2008. Heck, they even offer you a free issue of the History Channel Magazine.
BTW, I'd like to give a big thanks to the person who mentioned phoning in the order.

Is the sale over? Yesterday the website said it expired on the 28th and today the banner isn't there. Can we still call in orders?

It mentions the 40% to 60% sale is still on but it appears the extra 20% off is dead. I had a few DVDs I added to my cart yesterday that I decided not to buy and notice today the extra 20% off is no longer discounted from the prices.
