With foreknowledge of sales, one could purchase at full price and then go back to PM because BB and CC offer 110% of the differences. Beast Buy sells Heroes for $49. If you buy it now, you'll be able to get $33 (plus the tax) back when you hit them with the Target ad. End price: $16 plus tax. Much win in that calculus.
Granted, you need to take the cost of getting to the stores once or twice into account. No point in burning half a tank of gas and burning up the savings. I've got a BB, CC and Target within sight of my office, so it's only a 1/4 mile to hit any of them repeatedly.

I'm waiting for the 12/26 Target paper - it didn't come with the Sunday paper - but Heroes was $50 and Dead Like Me was $40 when I bought them last week at Beast Buy so it'll be $34.10 and $24.75 (plus tax) back, a pickup of $5.85 (plus tax) over a straight wait-and-PM.

Not wanting to be a spoilsport, I just thought I'd mention a (possible) caveat regarding buying an item early (say, Heroes for $50) and then price-matching to get the extra 110% back guarantee. Don't know if they still do this, but I remember trying to price-match a Target sale item once BB (just to save time & gas...didn't even know about the 110%)...the cashier sent me to the service desk, and they said they had to call Target to verify that the item was in-stock. Of course, Target was sold out, so they wouldn't do the price-match.
As I said, this may all be a moot point, but I'd hate for someone to pay big bucks for an item thinking they would pm and then get stuck with the item. Of course, I guess they could always just return the unopened item for a refund of the original purchase price.

I went this morning. Picked up Heroes: Season 1, The Office: Season 3, & Sex and the City: Seasons 5, 6.1, & 6.2.
There are a lot of other things on sale. Basically almost all their TV DVD section is on sale.

24: Season 6 was not on sale, unless it wasn't marked, every other season of 24 was $19.99 though. Mostly everything that's listed on the first page, plus their previous seasons are on sale (except for Boston Legal). They also have The Golden Girls, Full House, How I Met Your Mother on sale for $19.99. They also marked Rome at $39.99.
I didn't look at the movies at all though.

Is is safe to assume the stores will have plenty of Heroes DVDs'in stock when I get out of work today @ 4:00 PM. I will be going to the Target in Abington, MA. Even if they did sell out I believe a raincheck would be in order since the flyer says nothing about No Rainchecks for Heroes or the other DVDs' on the front page.

Yeah, 24 S6 was $46.99 reg. price. The season sets I really wanted were like the only ones NOT on sale. (Scrubs S6, Robot Chicken S2).
I decided to pass on Heroes. Other than seeing the 73-minute unaired pilot, I really have no interest in rewatching the season.

It is great that Target has Heroes for this price. But it can be dissapointing to find out it has sold out when you get there. I am not sure how many copies they keep.
However, considering the cost of gas, time, and effort to buy this at Target, you may want to buy it at www.amazon.com for $24.99 and avoid the risk of finding out it is sold out at Target. I am not sure about the raincheck thing, but it seems like a lot of trouble since it means another repeat trip to Target.
