Wow, every title I ordered this morning is now gone from the list. Glad I ordered right away. But I was going to order more titles that were removed. Guess I'll just wait for the BB sale, unless they add more...

5 of 8 I ordered yesterday are gone. They don't give you much time to think things over on these deals.

God forbid and Jesus do an opera if they take ATL and Waist Deep off the list. I mean really, wtf.

Great. After sending numerous emails and spending too much time on the phone yesterday with Amazon's clueless overseas CS reps about not being able to get the promotional discount, I get up today to discover that the one title I really wanted -- The Searchers -- is now off the promo list.
Think if I scream loud enough they'll make this right?

Few questions:

1. Jarhead carries over the 2-disc SE features, right? This was the deal-breaker on considering this one for me.

2. How is Training Day and/or Deliverance? Training Day is a movie I love but am hesitant to replace as my SD copy was signed by Denzel Washington.

When I used Amazon's call back feature yesterday I got an American woman who was very helpful. Must be YMMV.

this is tempting deal

However, I think blue ray is dominating the HD market now and probably will win out by next year. I hate buying something that may become obsolete by next year.

damn.

Wanted Caddyshack or Happy Gilmore with the Superman II

well I guess this time I waited too long.

With Six Feet Under, Buffy, MASH, Toshiba HD-DVD and around $100 in TV sets, they got enough money from me this holiday!

Something tells me there are going to be two formats for a very long time!

I think a major reason for that perception is that there have been all of the 1/2 off sales for BD that we haven't been getting for HDDVD...until now. Hopefully HD will catch up in sales. (But, then again, who knows what'll happen.)

It's too bad they couldn't have had the HDDVD sale the same time as the Blurays. There were quite a number of Warner titles that I would have liked on HDDVD that I already ordered on Bluray from Amazon not thinking they would ever come up with a sale anytime soon.

I only own a HDDVD player, but only bought the Blurays anticipating getting a PS3 for Xmas.

Warning! I received Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Fountain, and The Lake house. All 3 were ordered as 1 sided HD disc, and they reflect that on the case, but all 3 are old combo disc's!

This is also being reported on CAG: (Image from CAG Posting)

so you are saying you got both the HD-DVD and the standard DVD for each title? Is that a bad thing. These combo are suppose to cost more and if you only paid for single HD-DVD, then didn'mt you just luck out?

Yeah you do get more value I guess, but some people do not like combo's. Just giving a heads up.

Amazon.com must have changed the decriptions on both those dvds. They are listed as combos in the sale.

I see both versions of The Lake House are still listed though. Hmmm

Were they shipped by USPS or UPS? I'm out of town so cannot receive mine, and was counting on the slow USPS shipping. If they sent it UPS, I might have issues...

When the sale first started, they had both versions listed... The combos for 27.98, and the HD-DVD only version for 23.98...

I hope The Departed non-combo I ordered is actually that, since I already have the combo.

Also ordered Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Iwo Jima non-combos.
