Serenity 2 disc is worth it just for the cast commentary on the 1st disk.

Ah, forgot about the cast commentary. Posting from Best Buy, with the 2-disc set under my arm in the checkout line. Thanks for the nudge.

I was just about to ask that.

Thanks.

It doesn't say anywhere that it is online only.

Bugger. I'll buy it next week at Target then for $10 (High Fidelity/Blank Combo DVD)

I have to wonder if that bonus disc isn't just the mini-featurettes from the Blu-Ray version's "Inside the Maelstrom" feature. The running time seems to be similar to the amount of content of "exclusive" content on the Blu-Ray disc...

Just canceled my Superbad BD pre-order at Amazon to pick it up for the same price. Tools should've shipped it by now.

I am going to go broke on just the $8.99 sale. There are a least 5 of those I want on top of Superbad.

It has the same upc as the steelbook. The steelbooks should still be on shelf in the action section ( if your store has any left ) and will ring up 8.99, but the sale display only has the slipcase versions.
I just read your post so I guess I consider myself lucky. I used in store pick-up and didn't really check my copy out until I watched it earlier this evening. It's the steelbook.

Anyone else walk into their local store and find half the stuff wasn't even in stock?
Lame.

The display was empty and few of them were in section.

And the store had only been open about forty minutes. Never seen that display so empty...

I have and when you asked a Best Buy Rep about stock, they'll say "that's all we have"... and that's not even true, they'll have a second wave put out next week trust me.

Glad I stopped by Best Buy tonight and picked up one of 3 copies of Robocop. There were some empty spots for the $8.99 DVDs, but didn't pay any attention of the titles.

Hell, I walked into mine just a few minutes after they had opened, and the whole display was bare, except for the sale price tags....they had an employee going through the shelves and pulling what they had to put into the front display rack...once he was done, the thing wasn't even half full...they had a lot of just a few of the titles, just a couple copies of a few others, and none of what looked like about half of the titles, weak!
Still, was able to grab one of the TWO copies of Robocop they had...since they didn't have any, I'm glad I didn't want Casino Royale, Boyz In The Hood, Ghandi, Color Purple, Lost Boys, Heat, Rebel Without A Cause, Poseidon, etc....

My BB had a small, hand-written sign that said they didn't receive their full shipment this week and would have everything stocked by Wednesday.

I'm gonna try if the B1G1 goes through with in-store pickup. Ordered Memento + Black Hawk Down. Will let you guys know how it turns out.

If it works, might get another pair of movies from the store.

Got my copy of Serenity at 8.99 and it still had the extra comic book from BB's original run...SCORE!

"didn't receive their full shipment" = "Oh fuck, I forgot to do this."

The Valeyard, does RoboCop (20th Anniversary Collector's Edition) come in a tin or steelbook? I might go to the West Covina BB on Wed.

Probably not. That link is good, though, because if it ends up being something of substance I can just buy the bonus disc for $5.
