I just cleaned out the Best Buy in Dedham, MA. They had 11 figurines and the cashier was some young kid who couldn't believe it. His reaction: "Holy shit! I can't believe I didn't pick one of those up." So I gave him 1 of the 11. They also had 2 of the Jungle Book tin banks for a penny and picked them both of them. I felt an eerie sense of satisfaction coming out the store with a cartload of goods, after handing the cashier a dime and 2 pennies.

Hmm, none at the Pearl Ridge, HI location, but plenty of the V for Vendetta mask boxes.
Although I think I wore out my welcome as I wanted to pick up 2 and 3 LOTR EE 4 disk sets to match my FOTR. Didn't have TT in the area but one without the Compass movie ticket sticker. 20 minutes later, finally got a manager to make a price adjustment.
Almost as much of a hassle as going into their back room warehouse to look for stuff as their employees are too lazy to do so.

I was at one of my local BB yesterday and decided to pick up what they have for the Silver Surfer Statue. As the cashier was ringing my other purchases, the manager on duty rushed by and told the the guy to not to ring up any of the statues. The manager said they had some issues with the statues yesterday and wanted to make sure that they weren't rung through the register. All of the sudden after a moment of discussion (I didn't even say a thing), they let me have over a dozen of these statues for free. The cashier was stunned at the turn of events as he deactivates all statues. I wasn't expecting to get something like this for free from BB of all places!

Midtown atlanta is new cleaned out. They had five left. I bought all of them. One for me, the rest as gifts for friends kids. To think these would have cost 75 bucks last week haha. It cost me 5 cents!

For anyone in the Columbus, OH area, the Tuttle Crossing BB had several of the Silver Surfer statues. There were three sitting on top of an endcap in the DVD area, and I spotted a few more under the racks in one of the aisles. I picked up two of them, one for me and one for a buddy of mine. I could not find any Jungle Book banks.
I have to say, paying for an entire order at BB with a nickel, and getting change on top of that, was sort of surreal.
Big thanks to the OP!

I guess they were guys in Receiving who listened to nothing but Devo music. Sorry probably more info than you guys wanted to read lol.

Picked up 5 more at the store in Dorchester, MA. They had 6 but the other one was completely destroyed. I also found a Peter Pan lunchbox which was also a penny. The woman cashing me out gave me this pissy attitude and even called a manager to verify. When the manager told her that it was ok, she goes, "Lucky you, have fun with your dolls."

I found a bunch of the Silver Surfer figure at my local store, probably 30 total. I only took three though.
However, I couldn't find any of the Jungle Book banks. If anyone is willing to help I'd really like to get one of those, I'm sure we could figure out something for it.

Thanks for the lunch box info. I will check at my BB.
And that "Lucky you, have fun with your dolls." is the funniest thing I have heard all day.

I was just thinking, with the Jungle Book bank at a penny, would the same thing be true of the Jungle Book plushes if you actually managed to find one someplace? I got a Baloo back then but would love to have the other one too.

I checked out the store in York, PA yesterday, where I know I have seen a crapload of them just a couple weeks ago, and I didn't see any of them.

Tried the Ghost Rider gift set. Rang up as $69.99.
Oh, well. I have the GR 3-disc from CC anyway, and I got the Pirates 2 two-disc cheap a while back when the one-disc was on sale: Someone had put the sale label on the shelf in the aisle that had a bunch of the two-discers and no one-discers. (They gave it to me for the sale price, but I saw an employee walking away from the shelf with that label in hand before I left the cash register. Spoilsport.
