Definitely a damn good deal. I remember picking mine up for $90 dollars the first week it came out (here in Canada). I was just that big of a fan. While there are a couple things I don't like about the set (the cut Alien 3 documentary, changed Alien Evolution footage), everything else is solid gold.

Also, the Rewind user DannyS has confirmed, that the "Alien Evolution” -documentary on disc 9 (64 min) is shortened and re-edited from the original Channel 4 broadcast (UK television). The version on "the Alien Quadrilogy" extends the interviews focusing on "Alien" (to cover the time), but is eliminating all interviews of "Aliens", "Alien3" and "Alien: Resurrection", and Mark Kermode (other than narration at the start of the documentary).

$33.99 is still a pretty damned good deal, I paid more than that for my copy used. Worth every penny.

Crap! My set arrived with disc one a trashed floater. Thankfully the exchange process couldn't be easier.

Mine too. Same disc. However, it wasn't bad and worked perfectly.

Had 2 floaters (1st & 8th), but each only had a faint scuff (barely noticeable).

For those of you that missed this, Frys is currently running these at $24.99.

That price may go to a cheaper sale price one of these days too, but I dont know for sure.

Anyone else have the feeling that a new box set may be in the works?

Maybe with all the Alien, Predator, and AVP movies in one set.

Sorry, no I wasn't. Just thought there might be one coming. Thought maybe the studio initiated this sell off at low prices to move out what was left of the old sets before the new set came out.

Didn't know there was one out already.

James
