I hope this is true... I'll buy Ratatouille, walk outside and open it, and walk right back in and get the Pixar shorts.

and yea, best buy will have movie cash for enchanted. the wording on the ad is weird tho, but i believe you get the cash purchasing either dvd/blu-ray or either version of the game for gaming consoles.

I received my copy from DD earlier today. However I didn't see any such coupon.

So the Target bonus is pretty much the only bonus-dvd with content actually relating to the movie?

It would seem so. Wal-Mart's exclusive version comes with a Emeril Lagasse DVD with food recipes for kids.

Rubix 11-06-07 03:37 AM

so if i take my jungle book bb receipt in for the $5 off ratatouille, will they still give me the discount if i was never charged the $5 down thing the first time? it rang up 0 for me too.

bluetoast 11-06-07 07:36 AM

If you weren't charged the $5 down, you'll have to pay the full price for the DVD.

Also, that Steelbook is awesome. Updated the first post.

adinar 11-06-07 08:55 AM

If anyone gets it from Circuit City, please report whether the chef's hat/apron is adult-sized. Thanks!

Stopped in Best Buy during lunch to pick up the DVD. It does not have a coupon for the Pixar Short Films.

Also, the Enchanted movie cash is for up to $7.00.

bluetoast 11-06-07 11:42 AM

Okay I have a couple updates.

I returned my reservation at Best Buy and picked up Ratatouille at Target because of the Bonus disc. But guess what? The $5 off any Disney DVD stipulation was still in effect! So I still "got" The Jungle Book for $9.99 a month ago.

So what I did was then buy the Pixar Shorts and the Pirates of the Caribbean reservation. Then I later returned that reservation, essentially getting Pixar Shorts for $14.99. Thanks to NiceGuyJoey for this idea.

You can also do so with Ratatouille, and get it for $9.99 with Enchanted Movie Cash.

Now it gets even better:

Inside Ratatouille is a $10 Mail in Rebate, just send in the UPC. Although I don't really want to cut up my DVD. So therefore, you can essentially get this DVD for free.

But what's this? Buy Ratatouille and Pixar Shorts, and you get a free pin set? Register the Disney Movie Reward codes for both, and this deal will be unlocked.

Amazon seems to be matching the instant $10 off if you buy Ratatouille Blu-Ray with the Cars Blu-Ray. If you have the 10% discount off of HD titles attached to your account, then that discount would also apply. $37.90 for these two Blu-Rays without the 10% discount and $33.11 with the discount is pretty sweet for two new Blu-Rays.:)

MadonnasManOne 11-06-07 12:20 PM

I picked up my copy of Ratatouille at Target, to get their Bonus Disc. I have the checked the times of the features on the Bonus Disc, and the total time runs just under 20 minutes.

The features are broken down as follows:

Character Profiles - 8m 30s

Progression Reel: Rapids - 2m 32s

Deleted Scene: Heist/Fantasy - 5m 37s

Remy's Incredible But Edible - 2m 28s

Ratatouille Around The World - 1m 48s

Not a bad running time. Better than the next to nothing bonus features of the actual DVD!

Excuse my ignorance, but how does one get this 10% off HD applied to their Amazon account? Thanks!

It's too late for you. You had to buy 3 or more HD titles back in 2006 and Amazon would then give you 10% off of all of your HD purchases in 2007.

I'm not seeing the instant $10 off at amazon. Maybe it's only available if you are getting the HD discount.

I just looked, and amazon gave me the fabulous offer to get both for $47.90. I had already ordered that, but picked the free shipping and am pretty annoyed that they likely won't ship it until next week. So I will probably cancel, and go get both at Best Buy.

It appears Amazon has the same deal with Ratatouille Blu-Ray and the Pixar Shorts Blu-Ray.

The $10 off discount isn't reflected until the final checkout screen. Sorry about that, I should have mentioned this in my first post.

Thanks. Now I am really annoyed with amazon. I was going to cancel and reorder with faster shipping, but the order is "being prepared" and cannot be canceled or changed. Of course the $10 discount does not show on the order also.

Zip them an e-mail and ask for a $10 refund. Amazon is usually very responsive in these types of situations.

Are you sure? I was able to get it to work with Ratatouille and Cars, but not with Ratatouille and Pixar Shorts.

Just called. This is a "promotion" and is not covered under their automatic price guarantee. I whined, and they will take the $10 difference and ship me Ratatouille and Cars today. This pre-order experience has soured me on amazon, but no need for more OT other than to note that my Harry Potter set has been pre-ordered from dvdplanet.

If you haven't already ordered from amazon, getting the additional $10 off Ratatouille and Cars makes for a really good deal. Thanks for sharing that! :)

Yes I just ordered both for $33.11. Try using this link and use the buy both for $47.90 link to add them to your cart. The discount should show up on the final page before placing the order.
