That's dumb, considering the ad clearly states ANY two titles 34.99 and below. But I probably wouldn't have argued it any further either. At least you won the battle... And those are actually two decent titles. Even if you don't want em, should be easy enough to trade em. Congrats!

I don't have an XBOX 360, but had been thinking of getting one, which one do I need to use the hd dvd addon or will it work with any of them. Sorry if this is an extremely dumb question I just know very little about the xbox.

You can use any 360 with the HD-DVD add-on, but some 360 models don't have HDMI output.

No insert for Phantasm. I would imagine the same will hold true for Re-Animator.

WARNING!

At the store, Jeepers Creepers is apart of the 4.99 sale. On the front sale rack they had about 10 copies of this title. All 10 copies were the older special edition release.
I tested each one for weight, because for a short time this was a two disc release rather than the original flipper disc. I figured they were all flippers and decided to buy it. It was fun silly horror flick and I have been waiting to buy it since I found out there was a OOP S.E.

Here's the problem, I open the dvd and guess what, It's not the S.E., it's the same as the current version. Egh, Now I am gonna have to go back to Best Buy and explain to them "Very Carefully" what the problem is.

Different strokes for different fokes.

My wife and I loved this film! It was a huge surprised because we were not expecting much, but we both really enjoyed. The kids also loved it! The story was very good and the anamation was also very good. Cannot wait to pick this one up and see it on Blu-Ray.

Congrats! After about 20 minutes of holding up a line, I had 3 people insist to me that "any" means "standalone units only." The first person said it was only the unit pictured and it was just referring to the 2 in the box. After pointing out the word "any" and showing the little footnote that mentioned titles $34.99 and below, she got someone else to say those footnotes were on the Blue-Ray side of the page and just referred to it. After I pointed out that the BD player started with footnote 5 and the other footnotes were for the HD-DVD players, they went to person #3 and the "standalone units only" excuse. That's when I gave up. So, no go in Nashua, NH.

I just tried it also and the manager said this is 2 different deals and if I didn't want Hero's I could take the 2 free DVD's. It's still a good deal.

I bought the Alien Nation Ultimate DVD Movie set at Best Buy last week with a $10 Reward Zone certificate (final price $29.99). Now the set is $10 off if I buy along with Space or Alien Nation series, darn.

Will BB reissue the certificate if I take back or did I just waste a certificate?? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

If you just return the movie set unopened, they will credit the $10 RZ certificate back to your RZ account (as points). The good news--you don't lose the certificate. The bad news--you have to wait some time before you're issued a new certificate.

At least that was my experience with a similar situation recently.

If I do in store pickup, how many days do I have to pick it up?

Did you end up with 2 copies of each movie? It states in the AD that they are in box. I can see where the AD contradicts itself saying you get any 2 titles and also shows the titles which are in the box. Either way in large print at the top it still adds up to 7.

I believe it's 8 days. You will need the CC you used on the website. You aren't charged until you pick up the item. You may have a pending authorization for a few days that will drop off your CC if you decide not to pick it up. You'll also have to show a valid picture I.D.

This system works great if you want to lock in a sale price. You will need to wait for the e-mail which states the item is ready for pick up. Could take a few hours.

Thanks for the info Xbox69. Thats what I wanted to do, lock in sale prices on Thursday and then pick-up on Sunday. So looks like I can do that with everything but the Heroes/Xbox360 deal.

It was posted on Fatwallet a few hours ago that Corporate had sent a nationwide email informing all managers to honor the +2 hd-dvd deal (in addition to Heroes).

I didn't believe this, but ventured back to the BB that had initially denied me. This time the manager was apparently clued in and rang me up no problem.

If that's the case, it's time to strike.

Also I'm surprised that nobody has jumped on the Disney deals yet. Platinums, Treasures, all pretty low prices.

Wow. May have to head back again.

I went to the Mall of Georgia Best Buy and they told me I could either get Heroes or two HDs. So I picked Heroes, since it was more expensive. The cashier was going to take the price of the movies off, but the manager said only one or the other.

After a couple hours, I at least wanted to try another store, so I brought my receipt and the items. The cashier here really fought for me, saying, 'if he's not supposed to get the 2 free ones in store, why did he get the rebate for the 5 mail in?' They argued about it for awhile until the manger just gave up and told her to call someone in home theater department. She called them, they said one or the other: Heroes or 2 HDs. I changed my mind this time, returned the Heroes and got Transformers and Troy: DC.

I guess tomorrow I'll call ahead to see if they'll give me another copy of Heroes.

Thanks for the post, lxjenkins.

Who'd you call? The store or like a 24 hour CS line? If the case number is nationwide, just post it here for all of us to use.

Nice. I would love to go back and give the middle finger to the clerk & two managers who were such jerks at my first Best Buy visit.
