Stumbled across this and surprised no one mentioned it earlier as it appears to have been going on for some time. But the FootNetwork store (http://store.foodnetwork.com/) is having a sale on various items, and the sale is strong (over 50% off) in the DVD & book departments. Including the lowest price I have ever seen for Good Eats DVDs. Examples of some items;

Good Eats 27 Disc Volumes 1-9 Set - $150 (Was $360)
Everday Italian 6 Disc Volumes 1 & 2 Set - $30 (Was $100)
Food Network Kitchens 2 Book Set - $15 (Was $35)
Boy Meets Grill Season 1 4 Disc Set - $18 (Was $60)]

Shipping is variable and can be steep, (my order of 45 DVDs and books ended up costing $28 to ship) but this does appear to be quite a good deal on DVDs that are nearly impossible to find at any other retailer.

Good Eats is actually a better deal if you buy the sets seperately. It ends up being $138 for volumes one through nine and volume ten through twelve are available for another $46.

How many seasons of the show is represented by those 27 DVDs?

There are three episodes on each disc, and three discs in each volume. I don't know how many episodes comprise a season.
