Hi. When exactly do you enter the paypal10 code? I tried entering it on the FYE checkout page, but it says to select PayPal as payment method. When I click on the PayPal button, it starts taking me into PayPal checkout.. Is that when the coupon is applied?
Thanks

after logging in to paypal, it returns you to fye for final checkout. thats when you apply the code just prior to submitting the order.

Is anyone else having problems lately using the code?

I'm trying to order Shrek the Third and an in-stock CD that subtotal $36.98, but when I go to use the PAYPAL10 code, I get an error telling me I must spend at least $35. Just for the heck of it, I tried it with just two copies of Shrek (to see if the CD was causing problems), and I got the same error message. Seems weird.

Think it is a problem with Shrek. I just tried Ratatouille and Shrek and got the same message (even though it is well over $35). They will fix it eventually - I have had this in the past on New Release day.

There's a lot of kvetching over at FW re/ the Shrek problem. At least one person posted that they communicated with FYE.com corporate, and and got a response stating that Shrek 3 is simply not included in the PayPal promo.

The concensus at FW seems to be that this is a completely BS reply issued by someone who was caught off-guard by the problem and couldn't bother to come up with a better explanation.

Hopefully it gets fixed.

I just received a similar response from FYE.com:

Shrek the Third is excluded from the Paypal10 offer citing a contract with the supplier. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause but this is something that has just been brought to our attention by the corporate offices and they are not making any exceptions to this. Also, this is an offer made by Paypal for FYE customers not a FYE promotion so we cannot post credit you for the coupon should you decide to order it.

I've never encountered something like this before. Looks like I need to order from Deep Discount with a 20% off code.

Even though it's still listed on the main page, it is telling me that paypal10 has expired.

Ugh, I knew nothing about this. They have good prices on New Yorker stuff. Unfortunately it seems expired.

I just placed an order yesterday using the paypal10 coupon. When I just tried right now with the same items, says it's expired..

Hmm. I noticed that now take backstage pass online now.. I wonder if they'll apply the bsp discount if I called?

Well, I called CS and they told me the PayPal promo ended today but the backstage pass discount on the site started today (apparently a surprise to the rep I was speaking to)..

Please post if you hear otherwise.

That's awesome. Now if the BSP were to be valid with other coupon codes, that would be amazing.

Well, I just tried placing an order with the paypal10 coupon and it worked! Woo-hoo! It's still on the front page. Maybe they had some glitches last night.

Somewhat amazingly, after the excuses that FYE.com offered about not honoring the PayPal discount on Shrek the Third...now it works. Ordered it tonight along with Help!, got the $10 off.

Plus, as noted elsewhere, now FYE BackStage Pass is good for online purchases. Woo-hoo! Another 10% back.

And should you order through the FatWallet affiliate link, they're rebating 5% back right now.

Were you able to get the BSP to work with the paypal10 coupon? Whenever I tried to add it, it keep removing the BSP price..
