$9.XX Cliff's Notes versions of Cinema Classics from Fox

My local mart had the "Cliff's Notes" editions of Jane Eyre, Les Miserables, and Anna Karenina. I thought I read somewhere that these editions would contain the films only and not all the SE stuff done for the Cinema Classics collection. I bought Les Mis for $9.82 since it said it had both versions of the film (1930 & 60 methinks) and was suprised when I opened it and it was the same one from the Cinema Classics Collection without the slipcase. I went back and got Anna Karenina and it was the same too. Will save you about $3-4 than buying the Cinema Classics editions elsewhere. Thought I'd share. Happy hunting.

Cheers.

Did your Les Mis come with a booklet or other insert? I am used to seeing one with all Fox Cinema classics but did not get one. Thought a booklet might help give some context to the featurette on master detective Vidocq.

That would be redundant. The featurette gives an adequate overview of Vidocq for those unaware of his life and career and his status as the inspiration for Valjean and Javert.
