Panic Room 3-Disc SE & Hellboy 3-Disc SE for $13.72 each at Walmart!

I didn't see a thread on this (so please excuse me if this has been posted before), but I went to Walmart earlier today and was surprised to see a couple of DVD 2-packs for $13.72 each. Most of these titles were the pretty usual combos of movies together, but two stuck out.

The 3-disc Special Edition of "Panic Room" was packaged with "Enough" (the single disc edition of the Jennifer Lopez movie). And the 3-disc Director's Cut of "Hellboy" was bundled with the first edition of "Kung Fu Hustle". As I said, each 2-pack was $13.72 each, so for two DVDs, that'd really make each $6.86 each (but I honestly can't think of anyone who would want to own "Enough"). Hopes this helps someone out.

If my Walmart does not offer these, could you pick me up the Hellboy bundle? I have been searching for that forever, plus Kung Fu Hustle is awesome. Did they have a bunch?

Very good deals (already own both, however) but it seems YMMV when it comes to Wal*Mart... At least at all THREE of mine

At least we know some Wal-Mart's have them, and if they are packaged together, there's a good chance everyone can find them. I'll be on the lookout for the Panic Room SE. I have the Superbit, and love it, but 2 discs of extras sounds great. Plus, I can get at least SOMETHING for Enough....right?

Right?

They had a fair number of copies at my Wal-Mart. However, I don't think I can get it for you. College starts up again for me in a few days so I need to pack, move, etc. Good luck on finding it though.

Great find!!! However, some questions. Where was this located in the store? Was it in it's own cardboard display with numerous other titiles or in the regular section? I just came from my local Wal-Mart and couldn't find anything. They did have the SNL Season 1 set that's mentioned in another thread though.

Picked up Panic Room, didn't see SNL, and for some reason the $5 shelf was only those shitty thick packs with the 10 titles on them. Glad I picked up Escape from New York a few weeks ago.

Sorry, I meant inside the store. Were they by the regular section or was there a display somewhere?

If I didn't already own these, I'd pick 'em up. A pretty good deal for 2 nice sets.

Are they packaged side by side? I couldn't find them today, but maybe I just missed them.

The set up may differ from store to store, but they were located towards the back in their own little two-pack section near the family DVD aisle. They're packaged side by side.

Do you all think that Panic Room would make a great blind buy?
I ask cause I love Seven and Fight Club so would that make me love Panic Room?

It was a pretty good movie. I didn't like it as much as Seven and Fight Club, but still good. I am more excited about the extras on the disc which walk through the process of creating the movie.

D'oh! I didn't even know that Kung Fu Hustle was released in fullscreen. I didn't pick it up since I already own Hellboy.

Very different type of movie. I loved Seven more than Fight Club. Both of those had heavier material than Panic Room, IMO. Panic Room is fairly straight forward. Simple plot, decent action, good characteres, and well cast. I definitely recommend it. Whether you'll want it over and over, I cannot say. But for this price, it would be easy enough to sell it used if you didn't want to watch it again...

Panic Room was good the first time that I watched it... The second time it was better. Third time around I reeaaally liked it. Dunno why.

I'm a Fincher fan and of the three I rate them Se7en > Panic Room > Fight Club.

But I'm sure I'm in the minority on that one.

The three disc set is terrific.
