Hi. The Spiderman figure somewhat look familiar.. I think I remember seeing a Spiderman on a ledge on the front desk of FYE afew months ago.. I think it was being marketed as a paper weight.. Where these figures released alone?

How much are they on sale right now? I'm hoping it'll last until the end of the month when I get 20% on by bday for the backstage pass..

I bought this from FYE (however when I asked them how limited and if they more on stock, the manager at my store has no clue and the reason why they handed me out the three because I pre-ordered it)

Upon further checking Suncoast, Sam goodys in my area, they dont have the said giftsets.

Not sure, we got three each and haven't sold any of them yet. I'll see what I can find out.

and yes, to Johnsun they are called "paperweights" though I'm not sure why.

Maybe because there are really heavy? Do you recall having the Spiderman in red as a stand alone figure in your store?

There are two-packs for 9.99
with POA 2-disc/X-Men United
X-Men United / Daredevil 2-disc
From Hell 2-disc / ???
The Sure Thing SE (before it was butchered) / ???
Something about Mary 2-Disc / ???

I didn't really write the titles down -- just going by memory

ALso B1G1 on horror titles ... many that not in their system were displayed as such ...

Ring 4.99
Ring 2 6.99
Killer Clowns 7.99
Fog (orig) 7.99
Fog (new) 7.99

I got Blade Trinity (which I think was a mistake) with Ring Two

YMMV

The last few days of the BOGO horror sale are going on now, check the main portion for new deets and rebates.

And yep, we have a load of 2 packs as the poster above mentioned for $9.99.

Yep they start Thursday, I expect they will also be available online. And some are reg price, many are on sale. Some deals to be had for sure.

THe list is straight up ginormous, I will not be typing it all up. Look for it in store on the feature table up front, and also in the tv section. Any smart store will have the whole list posted but YMMV.

Thanks for your help. It seems like this is the same BOGO sale that the Black Friday advertisement talks about.

Does anyone know what's retail FYE's price policy with the FYE website? I called the one closest to me to ask about Pixar Short Films and was told it was $24.99 with no mail in rebate.. They also said the Chuck and Larry was $14.99 with rebate, while both movies on the FYE site comes to $12.99 after rebates..

FYE B&M and Online do not mirror each other, nor will you get the store to pricematch the online price. For some reason, maybe DB27 knows, FYE does not do the same deals online and in-store.

unlike most companies they operate as complete separate entities, and the fye site is basically competetion for the b&m stores.

i don't know why they chose to do it this way, but the reality is they can get more $$ from people in store then online, and online has far less overhead and thus can charge less cash money.

I don't know if this is chainwide or not, but my local FYE is sweetening the Backstage Pass pot. If you sign up for a Pass, you'll get 20% off instead of 10% on your purchases for a limited time. I didn't bother asking how long this additional discount would be applied because I already have a Backstage Pass. If you have been debating on whether or not to drop the $25 on the Backstage Pass, now would be the time to do it!

indeed chain wide, bsp is $25 bucks and gets you 20% off day one. If you combine it with USED items and buy 4 or more you will get 40% off which is basically amazing.

i believe this ends Sunday or Monday next.

db27, I was hoping that you can give me some insider info. There's a promotion that gives you a $10 gift card with the purchase of 2 Anime titles. Is this for all anime titles or only the titles that are present on the end cap where the promotion is posted? Also, are there any good Anime promotions coming in the near future? Thanks in advance and keep up the great work with this thread-it is appreciated!

Does anyone by any chance still have the Meet The Robinsons DVD rebate? I thought I saved it on my PC but it turns out I didn't and FYE.com doesn't have it anymore. If anyone has it can you please PM me?

Thanks in advance.

Okay, so this is officially a YMMV situation. The planner is very unclear on this, the register instructions do indeed say free $10 GC with any 2 anime titles, however I suspect some mgmt may limit to the endcap because the signage is also unclear.

Nothing to report for future sales, but I'll keep you posted as they become available to me.

Just an FYI, I received an e-mail from Fye.com stating that your Backstage Pass can now be used online. Here's the fine print at the bottom of the e-mail.

Backstage Pass discounts are not valid on Gift Cards, Downloads, Game Systems, Shipping and Tax. Your Backstage Pass cannot be used in combination with Google Checkout. You must enter your 12-digit Backstage Pass number from the back of your Backstage Pass card AND sign into your fye.com account to receive the 10% discount. Sorry, your 20% birthday discount cannot be honored online at this time.

Using that BP online discount is pretty nice and would pay for itself pretty quickly - too bad I would have to drive 25 miles across town to join. I don't understand why they don't let me join online...........
