I don't see why anyone shops at CC, to be honest. I rarely shop there. They just don't have it together.

At any rate, I appreciate your help, Speedy. Any information is appreciated.

By the way, to anyone who hasn't picked up the King Kong: 3 DVD Deluxe Extended Edition, you should certainly pick it up at this price! I paid the full price for it, when it was released, and it is well worth it!

Not a bad week for Best Buy. Animal House, Chappelle's Block Party, both SNL discs and Sideways in the $3.99, King Kong for $9.99, and of course Simpsons Season 10 is a must buy.

Will get the Circuit City ad to pricematch TMNT Season 5 1987 series.
Will get Darkwing Duck, The Tick and the Simpsons at Best Buy.
Probably get Home Improvement S7 and Full House Season 7 at Amazon.

I think you get RZ points as per usual, regardless of the Summer of Entertainment promotion. As an additional bonus, for each 100 bucks you spend in the applicable categories, you get the 10$. I bought JL S1/2 for 39.98 with 10.00 in RZ certs, I'm showing 39.98 in SoE spend, and 29.98 in pending RZ (regular) points.
Might have to pick up Flash (ahhahhhhhhh). Found out it was being released the day after my wife said "I was looking for Flash Gordon on DVD and it's going for 75.00").

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that I'm going to take the Circuit City ad to Best Buy, and price match Full House: Season 5 and 6 for $17.99 each.

Thanks, dtcarson! Cool, then, it looks like I'm good to go. I'll be spending a decent chunk of money at Best Buy over the next two weeks. I should be able to reach the $100.00 total, but, in the event I don't, it's nice to know those points will still go to my RZ point total.

Tight, Simpsons for $20 with the Fox coupon. And @ King Kong Extended for $9.99. Nice! Thanks Speedy!

Edit: Nice price for The Wire too...but I can wait a while for that.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting about pricematching.
Since I'll be at CC on Sunday, August 5th, raiding their 3.99 bin, I might as well grab WFRR and Borat from CC with the pricematch and save myself a trip.
By my calculations, Borat should be 8.99 after PM and WFRR? should be 6.09.

Looks like I will have to pick up the new Flash Gordon release. $17 ain't great...but then again, I sold my old copy about a year ago for $75. Pretty good trade-off.

I think this will be a 5 dollar title soon but I love Alex Ross art. Crap.

I thought I had read in another forum that these would revert back to RZ points but I'm still receiving RZ certificates through the mail (which should not be happening at this time).

At this time (to me) it appears that I may be receiving credit on both accounts. It may be this way for others or indeed all of us.

These $10 certificates certainly seem designed to drive sales in the 4th quarter and in theory the dual application of point to both accounts (RZ and Summer of Entertainment) would cost next to nothing for Best Buy to implement.

They should be out to vanquish Circuit City in the 4th quarter and with CC's recent stock availability problems (or heck even the MS Xbox Live points fiasco going on right now) could make the elimination of CC a real possibility.

I'll poke around some more but I don't see anything in the Terms & Conditions listed on myrewardzone.com.
you get points to both accounts. when you log on to the myrewardzone.com site, click on the summer of entertainment link and it will show your points collected for that promotion as well as a link to print your certificates for this promotion....also note that it says these sum enter. certificates are only good music, movies and games through 11/1/07

In my experience, Circuit City has more knowledgeable staff, friendly customer service, and a better return policy.

Their advertisement problems are bad, but Best Buy has problems as well. $7.50 Die Hard Collection anyone? Regardless, the need to get their act together after they lose an arm and a leg on all of the Xbox Live points.
