Because at Circuit City they price match then subtract 10% of the difference:P
So they had it for $29.99 which was already cheaper then what it rang up at BB for(34.99)
Comes to a difference of $22.49. Take 10% of that and you get 2.25 off. Then +tax 5.54 a piece

Worked for me at the Baileys Crossroads Best Buy. The cashier and the other manager didn't treat it as anything out of the ordinary.

Went to Best Buy here this morning right after they opened, but didn't even make it as far as the registers: there were signs taped up all over the DVD section saying how the Die Hard set was a misprint and they would not be honoring the price.
Only place in my area that does price matching is Wal-Mart and they haven't carried the collection, only the single discs. I'm sunk on this one.

Yeah, no go at my Best Buy either and I doubt it would work at my CC... No big deal since I was only trying so I could get the extra disc. Already own the 6-disc collection.
The Justice League Unlimited and all those others that are on sale on the BB site rang up right.

Just got back from BB/CC. No dice.
Went to Best Buy today at 2pm local time. They had a sign saying that it was a price mistake in the advertisement, saying that the advertisement was misleading, and that the individual movies were 7.50 apiece, not the set.
I went to CC to pricematch it, and I showed the picture next to the 7.50. The girl called a manager over and he took a look at it and was like "Huh. I'm confused." He then went to a computer and to www.bestbuy.com to check to see if they had the set or just the individuals on sale for 7.50, so my pricematch was unsuccessful. The manager did offer me the Die Hard set for 22.50 (7.50*3, still a fairly good price) but I said "No thanks" because I've already seen the 4th movie in theaters so the free movie cash wouldn't have mattered to me.

The good news -- I walked out of my Best Buy with the Die Hard 4 disc set (including movie cash) for $7.50!
The bad news -- No one else is getting the deal at my store as I left to the sounds of 'We need some ad correction signs' and 'Do you want me to pull these off the floor?'
It took 5 blue shirts to sort through things. The cashier was my best friend during the whole process. After I convinced her that what I had my hand was the same thing as in the picture, she kept telling each employee that came over that the ad indicated the collection was $7.50 and it was very misleading if that wasn't right. I didn't have to say any more. Finally, someone gave approval for the price adjustment -- the look on two of the associates faces were priceless! One even said, you're adjusting it from $34.99?! I think he was disappointed he hadn't gotten the deal himself.
I decided after I left to run into Circuit City and Wal-mart. There were no Die Hard sets at CC. I found the 3 disc set at Wal-mart, but the picture on the front isn't even the same, so I didn't bother to give it a go.
Thanks as always Speedy for the early notice on this one!

I was surprised to get the DHC at Walmart for $7.50, since the cover is different. Even after staring at the ad, the guy didn't notice. Anyway, I then realized that I wasn't getting a movie ticket. Either way, still a good gift (I already have the first 6-disc set).

I went to CC before and was at the register where the chick was checking with her manager about a price match and she came back and said "i can do this, but I need to see id", which I of course did not have. So I came back about 20 minutes later and a different guy was up there who was not the manager and he said they could not do it. Bastards...

No go at the San Bernardino, CA Best Buy.
I did see a single sign in the DVD section saying there was an error. Anyhow, I found one box and took it front. Two blue shirts to cancel the deal. Oh well.

I just walked into the Charlottesville, VA Best Buy with 10 Fox $10 off coupons.
And I walked out with 7 seasons of the Simpsons (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, they only had Homer-head season 6,) and 3 seasons of Arrested Development for under $100.
The cashier seemed to be familiar with the coupon, and let me know that he would have to ring it up as ten separate transactions. I certainly didn't object.
I thought that the last Best Buy deal, the buy one get one free on the Warner Special Editions marked down to $9.99 was the deal of the century, but I think this latest deal may have just beaten it.
If six years ago when the first season of the Simpsons was released on DVD someone had told me I'd be receiving ten of the best seasons of comedic television on DVD for less than $100, I would have told them they were crazy.
Go take advantage of this deal while you can!!!

No dice at the BB in Conway,AR.Took 3 of them to tell me all the different things everyone else has already reported here(those aren't 7.50,just the ones stacked up on the right, that's a pic of the third Die Hard cover, etc.)
Even though I think it's BS that they won't sell it for that price since they advertised it for that,I just smiled and said 'Well it was worth a shot' and walked out, without making a scene.Besides I've had some good luck at BB the last few weeks with other mistakes so I'm not too pissed at them.

I walked into BestBuy at 11AM on Sunday. They had removed ALL fliers from the rack. At the shelf where they keep the 7.50 DVDs they had a price correction notice for the Die Hard set.
I asked a sales drone for the fliers and he said that they ran out of them. What BS! The store opens at 11AM and the fliers for the week are gone already? I think they deliberately removed them so people can't price match at other places like CC.

Anyone know when the next batch of 10/12% off coupons might be coming for BB. I need one of the 10% off dvds one but the last one was the week of July 4th. I never have one when I need one.
I figured a new has to be coming soon but wondered if anyone has any inside info on that. Speedy?
