Thanks.

I'm hoping that the BB one is MORE like how you described it.

Well, it should be as its

a)pictured on their website

and

b)"It's about a month away from the US DVD release of Hellboy: Blood and Iron. Nick McWhorter who handles special projects for Dark Horse Comics dropped me a note of the cool promotions they've been asked to provide for the release. Here they are:

- Wal-mart- Hellboy Animated Digest Volume 2 as an on-pack bundle with Blood and Iron.

- Transworld (Suncoast / FYE / Sam Goody)- Special 64 page book featuring material from Hellboy Weird Tales. The book is called Hellboy The Theater of the Dead and Other Stories. This will also be an on-pack bundle.

- Lobster Johnson sculpted magnet. This is a DVD gift with purchase at multiple retailers across the US.

This is in addition to the mini-comic inserted into all the DVDs. Plus Best Buy will have another sculpt promotion but something bigger than their Bust-Ups promotion.

And if you're buying multiple copies to get the extras and then returning the DVDs, I don't want to hear about it. Reports of DVD returns do nothing to help the production of Phantom Claw. Quite the opposite. Consider giving them as gifts or a library donation.

Okay, that's it for now. I finished Mike's notes on The Phantom Claw. There's a possibility of some Hellboy shorts done for the Internet. More on that as we hear about it. --Tad

GentlegianthbNormally I'd just add this as a second post but it fits the topic so well. The Best Buy premium will be the full-sized Hellboy action figure! The release had to be postponed to get the toy shipments in from overseas. So I would think this will make for pretty impressive sales in those stores.

This figure was on display at last year's San Diego Comic Con where it was the cause of much buzz. It's just more sculptural goodness from the folks at Gentle Giant Studios. -- Tad"

Its a long read but at least we get a sense of what we should expect....of course things could change since the month that this has been posted

Sweet I'll probably buy Hellboy from both CC & Best Buy just to be safe. I really enjoyed the last animated feature, so hopefully this one will be just as good if not even better. I'll probably also pickup the 3 disc CC Ghost Rider.

thank you!!

The answer then is no.

Costco & Wal*Mart have sold different Wii bundles as have some online sites.

But to date, none of the big box retailers have followed that practice and have sold nothing but the original product configuration.

Are there any other deals on TVs - 32" and 37", I'm debating on whether or not to pull the trigger on the free DVD player at CC.com before tomorrow.

Thanks

Going to go for the Ghost Rider 3-Disc at CC. I have some 3-disc cases so I can combine it that way...

Thanks Speedy!

They had the 3-disc set for $19.99, even though the tag in front said $22.99 (though the sticker itself also said $19.99). Don't know if this YMMV, but I'll say it anyway.

My CC did that too. I snagged one before the manager walked over and took them all off the shelf for re-pricing.

Nice, so it was a nationwide price mistake, I guess.

I tried to get From the Earth to the Moon for $24.99 at CC, but it was sold out. I tried to pricematch at BB, but they had to call CC to see if any were in stock.

I know it sounds a little noobish, but are there any stores that will PM without having to call CC for availability?

Usually Wal*Mart is the easiest in that regard.
