Any idea as to whether or not DVDPlanet is going to take part in this sale? How long did it take them to join in last time?

I believe I used bml 90 day no pay at the past two Summer sales but I know it was not with the last November one and believe it was not with the Nov sale the year before. This led me to believe the 90 day thing was an summer event, I believe that I made some later orders both of those Summers as well.

I liked DDD's minimum purchase of $100 better. All the other merchants offer the BML special financing year-round but with a $250 minimum. Not sure why DD hasn't done the same.

A week in to the sale and then DDD extended their sale to end at roughly the same time as DVDPlanet's, if memory serves.

I went back thru my posts, here's the straight dope:
I don't know when the DVDPlanet sale was announced but initially the DDD sale was to end on 11/18. DVDPlanet announces that from 11/18-11/26, they'll be running their own sale. At some point, DDD extends their sale to 11/23. So if this patterns holds true, if there in fact will be a DVDPlanet sale, it wouldn't hit until 6/15... PURE SPECULATION OF COURSE

Hey I'm from overseas i'm not sure if this is an appropriate place to put this however i will.
I'm trying to buy multiple dvds between $100-$250 but if i go over 250 the shipping charge jumps from 16.95 to 39.95. At the moment i'm trying to get dvds totalling $230. which is in the $100-250 range however it is trying to charge me 39.95 for postage but as far as i'm concerned it should be charging me 16.95 as i'm not going over 250 even including the shipping total. Is this just a computer fault and will be fixed at checkout or what?

Is there anyway to stop this?

Hopefully you understand what i mean.

Each individual code (DVDTALK, WGN, etc) can only be used once, but you can use each code. So if there were 10 codes (hypothetical number), then you would be able to take advantage of the sale 10 times.

You might want to update the part about the Canadian site, as it not longer exists.

i believe i read that it's taking the total cost, before discount, then applying the shipping charge, so you're kinda getting screwed..

I tried to place an order with about half of it being CD's and a couple of DVD's they list for July release. No discount except for the current DVD's, so I took out all the non-discounted items.

The sale does NOT include CD's or future release DVD's. I called them to verify this.

Has bill-me-later gone out of business? I just paid off a 60 dollar debt there and got a reply for it a day or two ago and now their site is down during the time I use them most. Be careful here.
Bill Me Later site is back up this morning. Probably just had a domain renewal/changeover.

Yep, several items on my wishlist have changed since the sale started. Almost all of them have gone down in price.

I don't believe this sale has EVER included DVD pre-orders since they started this about 3 years ago. Check out the first post in this FAQ

OK, I've updated the FAQ with the new info. I believe I've coverd everything except the question regarding Bill Me Later, which I'm waiting to see a definitive answer on.

I was able to use DVDTALK, USATODAY and NYTIMES. I tried to use the DVDPRICESEARCH code since I use there site sometimes, and no discount came off, so that one may not be working.

Edit: Just checked their site. Looks like the code is PRICESEARCH this time.

Hey just wondering if anybody could help me out.
This isn't really a question to do with the sale just a question on shipping...
I emailed it to deep discount but can't wait 24 hours for a response if i don't have to.

I ordered over $500 worth of DVDs to Australia.
Everything was in stock apart from a couple of things.

In total the shipping is 39.89 (the max you can pay)

I looked at my email today and they have shipped everything else apart from the stuff out of stock and they have changed me the full shipping price.

Will they charge me again for shipping or will shipping be free as i have already been charged for my total shipping?

If they are going to charge me again, how come? There was no option to wait till everything is in stock...?
Thank you!

Hope soemone can answer my questions asap.

I assume that your second shipment will incur no shipping charges since you have paid the charges once for the full order.

How often have they extended the sale?

I really, really want a release or two from June 19th and will be crossing my fingers.

Are we sure on this? I bought Metallica's Binge & Purge (which is dvds & cds box set) and I got the 20% off.

And on the DVDtalk home page it says something to the effect of: Making the sale better this year DDD has added books and CDs.

This deal does NOT work on CDs or books. Unless someone has a specific list, I've tried a ton of different books and CDs.
