I'm smart enough not to complain. This was obviously an honest mistake and total fluke, but I'm sure they took hundreds of orders in the just short time it went haywire. It was a gamble and I knew it. I just hope they don't try to charge my card full price for the items because then I WILL complain.

Shouldn't the 20% off sale be soon too?

From what I remember they have always honored their pricing mistakes.

I missed the boat on this one.

they have been good in the past, but those were usually on a mistake on a couple titles at most.....from what i've read on here and other boards half the site was mispriced, and some placed orders for 25 or more items at over $20 discount/mistake per item

i would assume that they won't honor it, but i suppose it is possible

I got the order confirmation e-mails for all 4 orders I placed (all still contain the misprices). I will be stoked if I get shipping confirmation e-mails as well. That's just crazy that so many titles on the site were mispriced.

Can anyone list any other titles beside those already posted that were mispriced? I just didn't have time at work to search for other things I wanted in the 15 minutes between when I found out about this and when the site went down. Luckily, some heads-up posters tipped us off on Third Man: CC and Superman Ultimate Collection. Those are high on my want list.

Hopefully, at least a few buyers out there will be able to boast about the big DD 90% off sale someday.

I ended up with...

Sopranos Season 2 (2 Copies)
Sopranos Season 4 (2 Copies)
Sopranos Season 5 (2 Copies)
The Closer Season 2
Letters from Iwo Jima

Seinfeld Season 8 and Scrubs Season 1 & 2 were also mismarked, but the site crashed as I was placing that order.

This is why I am starting to doubt this very highly, especially if people ordered a ton of expensive items... like the Sopranos guy above. Now that would be a haul at $4 and $5 a pop.

Well I missed the boat on this. Maybe they'll still ship them and then demand that you pay them more or return the merchandise unopened. Maybe.

And then charge your credit card months later by using bogus invoices.

I refuse to jump on these glitches anymore after Amazon ripped me a new one by charging me full price later down the road during their big glitch this year.

I must admit to being shocked that it took so long for the multiple 'Amazon.com' references to start rolling in!

The Droopy set, Seinfeld S8, Rescue Me S3, and the Jodorowsky set were all included in the pricing mishaps also. It's curious that they'd send out the order confirmation emails after the site went back online. If they're not going to honor the misprices, why wouldn't they just cancel the orders right after the site went back online with the right prices?

they were probably queued to be sent, but were unable to while the site was offline. so when it came back on, anything that was pending probably went out. they'll probably cancel all orders from the time of the glitch till they fixed it. at least that's what i'd do.

Just got a email stating this
The order for the item(s) listed below has been canceled for one of the
following reasons:

The order was canceled per your request. Or

This item has been discontinued. Or

Your billing information was incomplete.

if you have any questions regarding your order, please e-mail our customer
service department at: [email protected]

We look forward to your next visit at http://www.deepdiscount.com
Sure it was not because of the card , billing info, me canceling or it being discontinued so nothing lossed nothing gained at leasts.

My order was cancelled too. I don't like the bs e-mail with the fake reasons. I would rather get an e-mail saying "oops, we screwed up." But its fine, nobody should have expected anything to come.

All four of mine were cancelled as well. I chuckled at the cancellation e-mail that gave every reason in the book except for "We had the wrong prices up because we are goofballs!"

Popped in separate orders for The Fountain and Pan's Labyrinth. PL was canceled (have it already, anyway) but just got a ship notice for The Fountain.

My problem would be that they are lying in that email. The orders were not canceled for any of those reasons. If anything, they should have done what FYE did, and said honestly what happened in explaining why the orders were being canceled. Lying is lying.
