Simpsons seasons (including 9) $19.99 Temporary Price Cut at Target

Seasons 5-9 had TPC shelf tags for $19.99. I think any season prior is already that price. I forgot to see when it ended.

I can finally get season 9. The ones they had were a bit banged up, so I have to hit another store.

s9 episodes, just in case anyone is having trouble remembering which season this is...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...sodes#Season_9

it kicks off w/ The City Of New York vs. Homer Simpson

that one just never gets old

it also continues the long tradition of C.H.U.D. references in Simpsonverse

Just curious, was the $9 or $10 savings (off opening wk sale price) worth the six month wait? It's just kind of a headscratcher to me that's all... I enjoyed all these episodes quite awhile ago - a very strong season imo.

Yup! I've seen them all before. I'm in no hurry.

Plus, add that $7 up for every season you've ever bought and later found for $19.99.

The Target in my store was nearly empty. Curious bit of info though, the tags read that this sale is going on from 5/8 to 6/4. That's quite a bit of a gap for a temp. price change.

I know, I'm just use to it being a week. Wonder why they're getting rid of Simpsons dvds...

Yeah, I think so. I also managed to enjoy all of these episodes awhile ago during their original broadcast and in syndication. I could wait on the dvds until they fell into my budgeted price range.

Thanks! Been waiting on S9 for a long time. This may be the last season I buy, since the quality begins to decline after that year (or is it the next?).

imho, it doesn't decline at all

i know that's the popular opinion online, but i just don't see it

i've seen an odd episode or even a run of three or four that wasn't spectacular, but overall i've never noticed any major dip or decline in the quality of The Simpsons

in fact i'd say, if anything it's had a few slight bumps in the road, yet remains one of the most consistently top-notch shows on TV, ever. just my opinion.

i can't believe Dan Castellaneta doesn't win an Emmy every single year. haha

picked up S9 for $20 this morning. thx op!

Target does offer rainchecks on just about anything that's on sale and sold out.

I went to Best Buy and had all kinds of problems doing a price match. The Target price on-line is different, then when the Best Buy person called them, they were told a different price, guess I can try a different Target and a different Best Buy on my way home. Anyone in Dallas see many S8 and S9?
