Spider-Man 2.1 bonus at walmart

It appears 12.99 is the solid baseline price for this release, as it was 12.88 at both stores I went to.
The bonus, however, is more interesting than the others I've seen--a bonus disc with a 13 minute featurette on the villains of Spider-Man 3. Haven't watched it yet, but if nothing else, it's a nice free keepcase (shrinkwrapped side by side in the usual fashion).
I guess postcards (CC) are kind of nice, but not as useful. I dunno.
...It also just occurred to me, I shouldn't have been able to find this. The release date is NEXT week...strangely, it was out at both stores (and on their modular display for new releases, meaning it wasn't just complete idiot employees just shoving things out haphazardly from boxes).

Hmm...strange.
Well, there you are regardless.

Very interesting. Good find, Fangsfirst.

Where are the stores you saw them at? Has anyone else confirmed this at any other locations?

I'll check after work tonight at my local WallyWorld.

Picked this up today at Wal-Mart. They had a lot of them on an endcap and in the new release section. Thanks, OP!

picked this up at the Florence, SC Wal-Mart (Regular, not SuperCenter)

plenty of copies there...wonder how they are able to sell this a week early

and considering the other bonus items were some postcards (CC) or a $5 Coupon for the game (BB) I will gladly take the bonus disc (and doesn't hurt that it was a few cents cheaper than other stores will be)

Picked it up at my local Wal-Mart with the bonus today for $12.88 (Chesapeake, VA)...Funny thing is they didn't have any of the new (re)releases in that I went for (Phantasm specifically), but they had tons of these that shouldn't be out for a week.

Thanks for the tip. Got it in Norristown, PA. I've seen Wal-Mart do this before with double-dip editions, like the Lord of the Rings from a year or 2 ago. They seem to think because the movie itself has been released before that they don't need to hold back on a new version of it. Not sure if this is a corporate policy or just the conclusion the employees come to, but it sounds nationwide this time.

Wal-Mart's web site only has it as a pre-order for 17.94 with no bonus disc.

Just got back from Wal-Mart & was also surprised to see it displayed. Can't beat $12.88 with bonus disc. No doubt I picked one up. If anyone is curious, I was at the Herndon location in Fresno.

Picked one up for $12.88 at my local Wal-Mart. Thanks to the original poster.

This is a good deal - though I must confess that a separate DVD case for a 13 minute DVD seems a bit excessive in terms of packaging.

Is there a reason why the Wal Marts across the country have them out early?

I have some 3-disc cases so I combined that bonus disc with the extended cut discs...

I bet Sony made a deal with Wal*Mart to let them put it out early. Interesting...
