Price matched Fry's $13.88 price and got the free car at Best Buy. Nice deal.

Is the Bond Girls featurette the same as the one that Best Buy gave out with Die Another Day? Because if it is, I'll just box up that DVD and put CR in that slot in my DVD case. DVD space is at a premium (and I can't afford to replace all my old Bond DVDs with the new sets, unfortunately).

The cards and chip in the WalMart set are cartamundi, so they are reproductions of the cards (and chip) used in the movie which is cool.

Just tried this with the Blu-ray... unfortunately, the Blu-ray edition is not applicable for the free car promotion. Is it this way in-store too?

I got the free car in-store. The large display housing the sd-dvd's of this says you can get the car with a purchase of the dvd, blu-ray, or umd.

The online promotion only allows the dvd version which truly sucks. You should be able to purchase the car separately and get a price adjustment at pickup to make it free. That way you get your 10% extra and the car. I believe their policy is if theres a better price in store or online at pickup you will get the better deal. Let us know if it works out for you.

Pricematched the frys.com price at CC and got the Blu-Ray version of Casino Royale for $22.29+tax. I didn't even ask for the 10% of the difference reduction because I didn't want to push it. Plus the guy voluntarily gave me the coin they were giving out.

I believe it is, but it does have about 5 mins of stuff with Eva Green and Caterina Murino.

How do you guys get Best Buy to price match and also get the giveaway? Everytime I get them to pricematch, they say you can get the lower price or the giveaway, not both.

I would try purchasing it first at their advertised price. Then put the giveaway in your car and go to the Customer Service desk and ask for a pricematch. They should match the price and give you an extra 10% of the difference back.

I tried to get the free car at Bestbuy but they said they never received them and that it was UPS's fault. Yea, right. Neiterh store got them in the area.

to PM do you actually have to buy it at CC first and show them your receipt? Bc I just went to BB and showed them the CC ad and they gave me the DVD for the same price

Buy it at BB for their price. Immediately walk over to Customer Service, show them the ad, and ask for a pricematch + 10% of the difference.

thats funny cause the circuit city in Glendale on broadway/brand and the one in hollywood on sunsetblvd have it for 13.99 the sign is posted plain as day on the instore display.
i bought it at the sunset blvd store and i was shopping at the glendale one when i saw it there

and the coin package says with purchase of the 2 disc dvd or Bluray.
so if you buy the bluray version you get the coin if they still have them.

Yeah this is one of two things that really upsets me about this set, they do everything in there power to disassociate this james bond is differnet from the prior 20 films and then they go and rehash this allready released corny featurette ("i started to wonder what makes a bond girl a bond girl......") from 4 years ago when Die another day came out on dvd.

instead of rehashing this why not give us some other things, such as the screentests that they tease us about in the documentary, or the whole press confrence when they announce craig is bond.

and we dont get one james bond trailer but yet we get 2 of the same spidey 3 2 of the same holiday previews and 2 of the same Pursuit of happiness previews. and zip zero zilch casino royale trailers, heck not even a james bond ultimate collection trailer.

and while i like the packaging i really would have liked it more if they would have made designed it in the same theme as the ultimate collections.

i will say this though i really enjoyed the Becomeing bond documentary.
very well done and really helped to explain more what they were trying to accomplish. i was one of those who before seeing the movie, despised the fact that they didnt use brosnan but once i saw the movie was just blown away. and listening to them talk on the documentary you can see why brosnan couldnt be in this bond.

really though all of this could have fit on one disc and still had a great picture and sound experience.

This bugs me alos, but I understand why the studios do it. The trailers that they put on the discs are promotional content for upcoming DVD's or movies from that same studio. Why give you an ad for somthing that you just bought? It's wasted money, in their eyes. I don't think they see it as a true "bonus" feature ( or at least one worth spending money on).

And if it isn't truely promotional content, they may even have to pay for it differently (ie: rights for temp music).
