That is the sometimes fatal flaw of doing ads so far in advance.

But that is really the only way that the big box retailers could plan their sales & manage their inventories (something which Circuit City has been really struggling to do of late).

OK. Has anyone picked up the Casino Royale deluxe edition yet? And does it in fact NOT contain a bonus DVD? Or does it contain a bonus DVD and a book?

Target bonus book

Has anyone opened the Target $22.99 exclusive yet? Exactly how many pages is the book? Is it worth the $7 premium over Best Buy?

Casino Royale Deluxe Edition

I purchased the Deluxe Edition today and it only includes the book called Bond on Set.

As you can see from the link, the book usually goes for $20 to $35 by itself. Only difference is that the one featured in the DE is smaller (that is, in dimensions, not content.)

Here's some pictures:

I don't see any page numbers, though according to Amazon there's 128, which seems about right.

As for whether or not the package is worth it, for me it definitely was. But then again I'm a huge fan of the film and was already planning on buying the book anyway.

Note: I am bumping this thread--it is not current!

When Casino Royale hit DVD, I opted for Walmart's exclusive set with the decks of cards and poker chip, but I kinda wanted the "On Set" book. Last night, I found it at Half Price Books for a mere $3.98. I would appreciate it if someone who has kept their packaging would be so kind as to provide me with the ISBN.

Behold, the power of being anal...

The numbers are not on the Target packaging (yes, I kept mine), but on the back of the book.

ISBN 978-0-75663-189-5

There is a secondary set of numbers below that; 10066326

The hardback book was manufactured by "DK" and printed in Mexico.

Title is "Bond On Set" by Greg Williams with the subtitle, "Filming 007 Casino Royale".

Many thanks. As I have the book, then I already had the information I sought.

Jeez, I thought Target had lost their minds. For a second I was thinking, why is Target posting prices in their ad 2 months ahead of time. Something big must be happening!

My thoughts exactly, until I read the year and then got really confused to the bump, haha.

Well, you did bump a three year old advertising thread. I don't know about others, but I wouldn't bother looking at the year in this type of thread, since why would anyone do something like that? And especially for something as trivial as an ISBN.

When it said 'March' in the title, that didn't give it away?

For every 2 instances of people not using search, there's one where someone really shouldn't have.
