The second part of my order shipped and no discount was applied to it. I still have 2 to 3 more to go w/ pre-orders so we'll see if I get the rest of it.

Having gotten in on a few items with this 20% discount, it is hard to complain, but this is just asking for trouble the way they are applying the discount. The discount should have been applied as they have always done during the real 20% off sale, on an item by item basis. But my $69 music boxset that I ordered was shipped for $69, more than what I ordered it for. I have 2 backorders and 1 preorder left.

Doing this on a total order basis, with backorders and preorders in the mix, is making problems all the more likely. Guess we'll see what happens.

I placed an order for 3 items--2 preorders and 1 released. They took the full 20% from my whole order off the one in-stock item that shipped. I assume I will be charged full price for the preorders as they ship.

1 BHV047530 DVD : DUNGEONS & DRAGONS-COMPLETE $ 29.94 In-stock
1 FXD042128 DVD : LOOP-1ST SEASON $ 14.64 Pre-order
1 MGD006786 DVD : STARGATE ATLANTIS-2ND SEASO $ 33.92 Pre-order

Merchandise Total: $ 78.50
Tax: $ .00
Shipping & Processing: $ .00
Discount: - $ 15.70-

Total for this Order: $ 62.80

FROM MY SHIPPING NOTICE:

1 BHV047530 DVD : DUNGEONS & DRAGONS-COMPLETE SERIES $ 29.94

I dont really like the reply you got as they should fix it now. Kind of sounds like they hope you forget about it or let it go.
Shit, I don't like it either. I wish they would have just stuck to the method of lowering the price of the single items 20%, but as long as I get the correct amout taken off in the end, I won't complain. But I will certainly not forget about it, oh no they are very wrong if that is their way of thinking.

They tried charging me $404,314.52 for a $62.97 set and then shot me a nasty email telling me that my credit card company declined the charge! I should hope to f**king god they did!!! Then I received this lovely little email from them:
Your order has been cancelled but it was only for the amount of $62.97. We do apologize our e-mails have been giving large amounts of money as the order total.
wtf? Are they outsourcing customer service overseas now? That doesn't even sound grammatical to me.

I got shipping notice for two backordered items and the 20% discount for the WHOLE order was applied! Confusing way to do it, but at least I got the full discount.
I'm glad DDD honored the coupon!

1 Item shipped, the other is on backorder. Seems they took off the 20% for both items on the single 1 that shipped.

Merchandise Total: $ 12.49
Tax: $ .00
Shipping & Processing: $ .00
Discount: - $ 4.85
Total for Shipped Items: $ 7.64

Had a sort of odd experience right before the new site and this coupon. I have been waiting for Chariots of Fire SE 2 disk and the Philadelphia Story SE 2 disk to go on sale. So, I happened to see them both at 13.41 on DDD while elsewhere they were higher. They also had the single disks at 12.49 each. I just assumed that they were part of one of the sales going on there. Since I had just missed the 20percent by a couple of hours too early, I called to see if I could get the 20% off. The CSR said it was an error on their part that they should have honored. However, when I went back to see my two disks on their site, one was out of stock and now they are in stock for $20.57. They shipped and I was charged the 13.41 each. Was this another error or was there a sale I stumbled upon?

Am answering myself. Amazon now has these two at 13.47, but didn't back when I ordered the DDD ones.

My wish list is back, but with only 1,000 items (previously it was at 1,762 )

I know it isn't the 16th yet, but I hope they get all of the items transferred.

I ordered a Criterion disc only in this quickie sale, and received it today. I also received other DVDs I had ordered as part of the $6.28 sale in the same box, and the invoice included all of the discs and the Criterion at its full price. The website says that my order for the Criterion disc was canceled. I just called my credit card company, and I was charged the discounted price of $25.50 for the Criterion disc. So, I'm not sure why the order is listed as canceled when it was obviously completed, but I'm glad I received the discount anyway.

My wish list is back as well, and even some titles that were discontinued and had dropped out of my old wish list popped back in (such as the Classic Media Godzilla titles).

Out of curiosity, are you ever going to purchase all 1762 items? Assuming you live in a realistic world with actual limitations (such as money and shelf space), DDD is doing you a favor if they don't restore all those entries to your wishlist.

Doesn't mean he plans on buying everything on the wishlist. A wishlist is used to store different items you're interested in. It's kind of hard to remember 1700 items off the top of your head.

I'm down to one order to go and they still owe me $10 from the coupon. I guess we'll see if it is applied to that one. Anyone else having problems or did everything work out for everyone in the end?

Edit to wrap up: The final order shipped and the rest of the discount was there. So minus one of the shipments that is currently lost in the mail everything worked out fine

Ended up working out fine for me. Ordered 4 items, and after the first two items shipped without the discount, I called and spoke to CS. After their initial confusion, they were able to see that the total discount for the whole order had been applied to the 3rd item. So when that item ended up shipping, the total discount did in fact get applied, and it was all good.

Sounds like they probably just applied your total discount to your last item. You can call them to be sure.

I sent an email to them after receiving my first order without the 20% off and they replied:

Thank you for contacting DeepDiscount.com!

The prices you see do not directly reflect the 20%. You will see a total savings of 20% off of the total price. If when the backorder items ship you feel you were still overcharged please contact us back for this.

Again, thank you for writing DeepDiscount.com. We appreciate your business.

Regards,

Customer Service Department
