What are the chances this is actually the old 4 disc set? I wasn't able to match the UPCs.

Googled the UPC and it was mixed results, some sites saying it was 9 disc and released 2007, others saying it was 4 disc and released 2005. Sounds like a crapshoot to me, but I'm up for a gamble.

Yeah, the description on Tower sure sounds like the old 4-disc set but may be worth trying. I wonder how they are on returns if it does turn out to be the old set?

I don't plan on opening it until someone confirms it's in fact the new set. One should be able to tell by the size of the box and/or the weight though. One's a nine-discer and the other four, should be a considerable difference in weight.

If it turns out to be the old set, I'm just going to REFUSE/RETURN TO SENDER the box.

what makes you so sure it's the 9 disc set? It clearly says "Pedro Almodovar Coll (4PK)" with all the info of 4 movies. I don't think it's worth the risk, unless I get a bunch of confirmations. This is really tough. I see buy.com has the old info too. Maybe it is worth a shot...

I don't think you wanna call them. That will just get their attention on the fact that it's mispriced and possibly screw every one of us.

Rule #1 - Don't give them a call.

Rule #2 - If you do call them, definitely don't advertise here that you did, or you'll never be welcome at DVDTalk again.

I ordered one for a gift (I already got one through a great user here that he got through CH.com). Hopefully it ships because a friend of mine is going to be thrilled, she loves Almodovar as much as I do.

FYI: I placed the order in the 11:00 ET hour, and it said it'd be processed tomorrow. Nailbiter.

I just wanted to say I placed an order this morning at 5AM and will kiss the OP if I actually get it.

Also, *if* there was such a thing as a four disc set it would still be a steal for $26 bucks, why would I refuse that?
