I got them for $5 as well in Utah (stores in Utah County). They had tons of each. Mainly full screen, but a few widescreen as well. This was on Friday, and there were several hundred copies of each.

The Superman Returns was the standard release, the Talladega Nights was the Unrated edition.

Now it they had the theatrical version for $5, I'd be willing to supplement my unrated cut since they decided to do a bit of editing.

Why would they have these major releases for $5? Sounds a bit bullshitish (no offense).

Do you mind saying where theyre set up at this price? Maybe it a big display because theyre overstocked, or just in the regular dvd section?

Im not sure Ill make a special trip for em if this is true though. My town blows as far as deals ae concerned.

They were displayed in a stand-up cardboard stand at my local WM. Unfortunately, it's still ringing up for $19.96 at my location(Shelton, CT). They had a ton of both Superman Returns and Ricky Bobby, so I think that they just want to clear out excessive stock. I'm going to check back later in the week to see if the price has dropped.

I know that at my store those dvds plus ant bully were walmart purchases and can't be sent back. That could explain the price drop.

Ant Bully, Superman Returns, Talladega Nights, and Saw 3 are not returnable to the studios. Your stores may just have had a MAJOR overstock of those titles. I know the above to be true because I work for Wal-Mart.
