wait you mean u still can use the $10 discount?! how?! i tried yesterday and got the error message (iam using the same card).

What is this New Price indication that I saw on my e-mail confirmation? I ordered "Three's Company, S2" and it is listed as such.

Now on my shipping confirmation it isn't listed at all and my total is only slightly less ($4) than what had originally been shown on the receipt. :scratch2:

New Price usually doesn't mean anything. You should still get it for the same price.

$38.85 / 6 = $6.48 per season. I love GOOGLE & DVDPLANET!

I didn't see this in the thread, but how did you arrive at that figure?

Seasons 1,2 = $17.95
Seasons 4,5 = $23.97
Seasons 3,6 = $23.97 (paying the $23.97 price for season 6 to get $17.95 season 3 free)
TOTAL = $65.89

So where is the additional $27 discount coming from? Google has a $10 on $10 for new members only, right?

EDIT: I think I got it - make three orders, each with $10 off - right?

3 separate orders...$30 off minus $3.00 shipping ($1.00 each order).

No. Here's hoping they will eventually, though.

It appears DDD decided to end this a few days early without notice. Even though the link is still on the main page, everything added to the cart from there is added at full price with no B1G1 discount. I sent an e-mail to cs, but no reply yet.

brendagg 02-19-07 01:46 PM

I was having a problem Saturday with the discount on this sale not showing up. I just kept trying periodically throughout the day, and it did evenutually show up after several attempts.

shacmasta 02-19-07 01:54 PM

Finally decided to get in on the deal, but it looks like it isn't working. Oh well, maybe I'll try again later.

Sigwolf 02-19-07 08:28 PM

Update... it doesn't seem to be gone entirely, but it is still not working properly. I think I found a work-around for those that still want to place orders before the official end date of 2/21.

I read brendagg's post and decided to try again this evening, so I just clicked on the first two titles on the list and sure enough, the discount was applied to my cart. I deleted those two titles from my cart and went back to the list to add the ones I wanted and, sure enough, no discount this time. When I deleted to second item from my cart the first time, though, I noticed it put up a message the said "No items in cart apply to BUYONEGETONE offer" or something similar.

That got me thinking, so I added all the titles that I wanted even though no discount was showing, and then typed BUYONEGETONE into the apply discount/coupon button at the bottom of the cart... Success!! The proper discount for the program was now applied to the total.

getjazzedman 02-20-07 11:35 AM

Bingo. Thanks for figuring that out! I wrote them an email saying that the discount wasn't working and they wrote me back with a screenshot of the first two titles on the promo screen and the discount showing up... I guess it only works automatically for those two titles or something.

At any rate, with your help I got it to work.

wearetheborg 02-21-07 11:41 PM

I getting the discount in the cart, but I'm not being able to checkout !

xoshagsox 02-22-07 07:57 PM

creekdipper 02-23-07 04:32 PM

Just checked back today & saw the ad still on the home page...with new "expiration date" for sale 2/28/07. Good news for me since I was trying to place a couple of additional orders Wed. night when our local internet server went completely out...stayed out for nearly 24 hours.

Also, in case it hasn't been mentioned (probably has & I missed it), the new site seems to have a different method for B1G1 Free on the checkout page. The old actually listed the 2nd copies as "Free"; the new site lists all the items at regular price & then shows the discount on the final checkout page. A little confusing at first since I expected to see the word "Free" pop up on the order form, but as long as I get charged the correct amount, that's okay (the total charges listed were correct, BTW).

On a slightly similar note, I placed a recent order from the same sale at DVDPlanet. Had great service from them during the "Google Checkout" sale last year (ordered a bunch of Criterions) but was really disappointed this time. Ordered the complete Highlander & Xena series...all but 1 of the Highlanders were shopworn (several had torn plastic) & had big indentations (one had a couple of phone numbers "inscribed" on the box where someone had pressed down on it) & none of the sets had the medallions that came with the sets I got previously from DDD (maybe none of the recent ones do since they were supposed to be limited...but the interior ads say they were supposed to be included). Also, only got 1 or 2 of the more recent sets containing bonus features. So, back to DDD for the remainder of this sale.

Hate to tell you, but they use the same warehouse, so it is the same product, shipped the same way. It is just chance if you get a bad set from DDD or DVDplanet.

Yeah, I knew they were sistersites & should have realized the obvious info. you pointed out above. I guess I just had a brainfart or something. Thanks, though, for reminding me.
