DVDEmpire Fox/MGM Box Set Blowout B1G1F

Lots of these we have seen at dvdplanet and elsewhere, but I think there are some good deals here... Categories by price, which helps... 2 for 29.98 is the lowest tier. Possibly save another $10 if you sign up for a new google checkout account (unconfirmed if this deal works with Google yet). Free shipping with 3+ titles, so add one cheap title to your order...

2 for $29.98 list: http://dvdempire.com/Content/pm/boxs...6912482&sort=2

2 for $39.98 list: http://dvdempire.com/Content/pm/boxs...ite_media_id=0

2 for $49.98 list: http://dvdempire.com/Content/pm/boxs...6912482&sort=2

2 for $59.98 list: http://dvdempire.com/Content/pm/boxs...6912482&sort=2

I wonder if this will work with Google Checkout. Their last b1g1 anime sale didn't.

It appears you may be right. I added two Reba titles to my cart, and was able to access the google checkout link, but the -29.98 discount did not.

I like how they have an 'On Sale' tag next to the Angel sets (and others), but they're selling them for the full msrp.

Looks like no Google Checkout to me too. When you add two items the discount appears in your cart as another item, but when you click to Google Checkout to pay that item/discount disappears leaving the two sets with full prices.

Still looks like some alright prices, but would have been a great deal if you could use Google Checkout with it.

pretty much the same sets sold at b1g1 free sale at dvdplanet in December but the prices not as good. At DVDPlanet, you get free shipping for over $25 purchase. Here you have to add a third title to get that which makes the sale even less appealing. it may be kind of too late for dvdempire to jump on this bandwagon of offering these same sets in a b1g1 free sale as many people have already bought these same sets elsewhere. They are pricing it not very competively too.

Has DVDEMPIRE ever had a worthwhile sale? The only reason I peruse their site these days is for their box cover art and DVD information, which is one of the best online.

I love these kinds of sales, but they need a new wave of box sets. It's always the same ones...

so true...99% of my purchases with them were because of google check out or misprices.

btw, i think dvdempire is going out of business as when i tracked down their shipments via my delivery company, their shipments were titled:"dvdempire liquidator" not sure about this though.

Looks like DVDEmpire is being run by the same people running B&Ns' b0g0 sale.

The prices seem quite expensive, (MSRP ??) compared to other sales seen in my short time of being on this forum.
