Costco: Preston Sturges $38.99/24 Seasons $19.99

Just got back from my local Costco where I found The Preston Sturges Collection for $38.99. Be careful, however -- many of the boxes were rattling, a sure sign of loose discs. I found a few intact sets and bought a rattle-free one.

I'd gone intending to buy Seasons 3 & 4 of "24" with the coupon for $10 off, bringing the $31.49 price of each down to $21.49. To my surprise they rang up at $29.99@, so I scored both sets for $19.99 each. This price would also apply, I imagine, to the other sets offered in the $10 off deal.

The price for Season 5 of "24" was higher, $35 or so, and I don't know if this would ring up for less or not. You might take a crack at it.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm going to get Prison Break with the coupon. Hopefully it will also ring up at $19.99.

Just an FYI-- you DO need to have the coupon to get 24 for $19.99. It's not automatically taken off at the register.

I highly recommend the Sturges box. You only need to pick up "Miracle of Morgan's Creek" (Paramount) and "Unfaithfully Yours" (Criterion) separately for the man's complete work.

I also strongly recommend the Sturges set, but be careful when selecting one. I have seen many that have cracked plastic pieces around the center.

...also: if anyone is interested: Buffy and Angel seasons are $16.99 (at least at two of the three Costcos in the Minneapolis area)
