Amazon.com DVDs Used and New
This may be old news to most, but you can save quite a bit by buying from 3rd parties off of amazon.com Search for a film, then click "used and new" there are usually "new" ones that are factory sealed for as little as half the Amazon price. If you are willing to wait a while for longer shipping time. Occasionally shipping adds up to a bit but it all depends on how far you are. I've bought probably 1/4 of my collection this way, and never had a problem. I just got these, all factory sealed:
Air Force One $4.49 Phenomenon $6.99 Fifth Element (Ultimate Edition) $6.25 Judge Dredd $8.94 The Cable Guy $3.28 |
Yeah that is kind of old news man, good deal on that fifth element though
|
There's also a website at www.imdb.com that you can use to look up info about movies before you buy them.
|
Have you guys seen www.youtube.com? People can actually post videos for others to watch and shit.
|
I found this place at www.google.com where you can type a word in and they'll give you every website on the internets that has that word! It's incredible!
|
alright, guys, alright. thanks for the info. welcome to the forum.
|
If you're interested in DVD's, there's this other site, www.dvdtalk.com that has extensive reviews for about every DVD that's been released and they have forums where you can communicate with other DVD lovers. Be sure to check it out.

rotfl Thanks all, I needed a good laugh.

It seems to me in just the last couple of weeks Amazon has raised its shipping costs considerably for third-party sales. I have bought quite a few books and movies through them and the shipping was around 2-3 dollars for media mail per item. I went to buy something a few days ago and for 2 items the shipping would have been over $10.00. Just a paperback book and a DVD, both shipping from within a few states of where I live, so I may not be shopping there as much.
|
Yeah, I used to buy a lot of stuff through Amazon used, but I just went book shopping and bought through Amazon new. When you add up all the shipping costs, buying through Amazon new (over $25 w/ free shipping) it's definitely less.

Ok. I assume a woman can't be considered a d*ck, right? So, what would a woman be considered? |

Actually, the money goes through Amazon (unlike eBay) and they guarantee delivery. In the rare circumstances where I didn't receive the item in the specific time period Amazon refunded me my money. |

Your wisecracks bounce off me like ping pong balls. And I actually just joined the other day, I basically stole this user-id because I registered a bit ago, and got the confirmation e-mail, activated the account but i still couldn't post or make threads. I e-mailed the support address but no one ever got back to me. so I tried tired combinations of user ids and passwords until I got one that worked. No harm no foul whoever had it before hasn't used it since he opened it.

Talk about being self-destructive. |
If you want something from wherehouse.com that's used, it should turn out cheaper at amazon provided you have no coupon codes for wherehouse.com.
|
Amazon.com Marketplace's buyer shipping may have gone up a little, but as a non-"professional" seller, I think their commission fees are rapacious. Still, I've had a lot more activity there than on Half.com, and I think people are willing to pay more on Amazon than Half.
Anyway, you're more secure on Amazon, I think, than Ebay, and it's nice buying something for a flat fee. As a seller it's nice being able to have something listed for much longer than the 10 days of an auction, and to play with the prices [only before selling, never after!] |

Compusa 86%. Wow! |
