And I was right, it is coded to look for DB, unfortunately you will only be able to find this out from employees.
It is DVDs ONLY (so dualdiscs will not count, since they're generally considered music primarily--out of curiosity, are you thinking of the talking heads box? man that thing is tempting...) so that means anything that's (correctly shelved) with DVDs.
And the register should automatically tell if it's a DB or not...
guess we'll see, eh?

I just picked it up last night at a price I'll avoid making anyone jealous of with my employee discount.

I picked up the MST3K Vol. 10 boxset for 36.00 + tax, so anyone still looking for one can go today and try to find it.
There is one more left at the Borders at 4th Street Live in Louisville, KY. It is hidden in the "B" section of the TV DVD's. (Just thought my DVDTalk friends should have first crack at it...
And it does look like a lot of the TV sets will work with this coupon. They had a display with Smallville, Angel, Buffy, Friends, etc. as part of the 20% off, so I would assume that the coupon works with those as well. (May not be the best deals though.)

picked up I LOVE LUCY season 1 (7 disc version in the 4 skinny thin cases) for $23+tax. i didn't have a rewards card and the cashier (of course) started to give me grief before reading the coupon over, which doesn't even mention the rewards program and it and worked fine without a rewards card.
i did want to get this at dvdplanet for $20 with google checkout -$10 off $30, but this is another one of those titles that's out of stock forever at dvdplanet and i got sick of wondering if it would be back in stock before the promotion ended.
still a good deal considering the 9 disc version of I LOVE LUCY season 1 used to be around $100 at one time.

I still don't quite understand the resistance to just signing up and using the rewards card. It's free, you get coupons, you earn personal shopping days, you earn holiday rewards (free money). And it literally took about 5 seconds to sign up at the register. It seems like a no-brainer to me.

My Borders would not let me combine the
coupon & personal shopping day together.
I called another and they said they would
but did not have the dvd set I wanted.
I rather just buy online. Its ALOT easier.

i've worked for a bulk mail firm- they buy and sell lists of demographics/addresses. direct marketing sucks. i limit giving out personal information, address and phone numbers to retailers who use or sell that info to demographic mail lists, phone services and email lists that bombard you with crap. there obviously is some incentive for businesses to gather information about you, it's not just about giving you free money.
just my choice based on work experience.

Once again, this board saves me money. I picked up Mission Impossible season 1 using the 40% off coupon, and with the $15 discount I had on my reward card via e-rewards, I spent $14, with tax, for it. Thanks to the OP.

They asked us to start cracking down around the time the coupons moved to "one coupon per customer per valid period."
Some stores paid attention, some did not.

1) The phone number CANNOT be used. We don't take down an area code. It is PURELY for account retrieval (since everyone knows their own phone number).
2) The e-mails are optional (you can, if you are that insistent, sign up through the 1-800 number on the card WITHOUT an email address). Also, you can get a hotmail, yahoo, etc account to let them dump to even if you never look at them.
And we do not sell this information. We use it for emails, and to keep track of spending (but we do NOT keep track of WHAT you buy, just how much).
If you still don't want to, that's fine, but just in case any of the above changes your mind...

. I'll definitely be using this one (Naruto Box Set 2). Hopefully, my borders will let me use my holiday rewards with this.
