Once upon a time it was illegal in Arkansas (don't know if it was federal or not) for a GROCERY store to raise the price on currently-on-the-shelf items if newer stock was going to have a higher price. However, this was when all shelf items had a price sticker. I think this was dropped completely after bar-code and register scanners came into widespread use. Could be he was thinking of something like that... Whatever the case he's woefully misinformed...

Here my first order, cleared out a big chunk of my wishlist I've been gathering since the last sale. Some like the Johnny Carson and Seseme Street DVD's are gifts. But overall such a great deal. I'm trying Battlestar Gallactica since I've heard nothing but good reviews of it. I tried season one of 24 on the last DDD sale and I loved it. Gotta love DDD!!! I'll also pick up King Kong and Divinci Code on Tuesday.

The same thing happen to me. I did purchase the Mission Impossibe HD boxset at the start of the sale. But had 12 other HD-DVD titles in my wishlists. I was waiting to oder on Tuesday when the "EAGLES-FAREWELL TOUR-LIVE FROM MEL" HD-DVD became available. As with all the ones on my wishlists it raised $3 in price. I guess I am SOL.

What pissed me off was they changed the price of the DVDs during a sale. I dont think that is appropriate. First they announce that the NBA dvds are on sale. So I decide to buy couple of items (each set was $25). The sale is supposed to last for three weeks so I didn't hurry to buy them. Two days after they increase each set's price to $35 which would make them $28 with the discount.

I think if you announce a sale, you have to stick with that. It is not a crime, but I think it is definitely disrespect to the consumer.

i got my email conformation friday. interesting enough there was an item that i removed from my list and ordered it without, but when i got the email conformation, it tv set is listed. i looked at the online status and it shows it as removed and i have a print out, so i guess i shall see what shows up and what i get charged for.

Same thing happened to me. I called this morning, and they said it will all ship. Had to ask them to e-mail me a pre-paid label to return the other stuff for a refund (haven't got the label yet--said it may take 24 hours).

I think it would be the credit card on file at the time the order was placed. You can call customer service and have them switch payment.

Seren - I agree with you: it does seem a little disengenuous to jack up the prices right before (or during) a long-anticipated sale. They did it to me on Thursday with Simpson's - Season 8. I posted my opinion on the earlier thread, and by that night, it was back to it's previous price.

Keep any eye on the titles you want, DDD lurks here, and they may adjust them based upon your posts. You could also e-mail DDDave directly with your concerns.
